I get your point but I don't see why we can't have an emergency ICM? Like, we're getting replaced. It's serious! And all that the senior mathematicians are doing is (A) writing essays (B) posting on X using our limited-time UBI or (C) running cover for AI corporations. Seems weird to me to not come together and just fix the rules of the game for the near future so that it's not complete volatility.

We are several months into the "golden age" and we don't really have examples (to my knowledge) of "responsible uses of AI"...at least none we can (near) unanimously agree on. Seems we should be more skeptical??

there's some OpenAI sloplutions (part of the day-of-nuking/sloppocalypse) which look "alien." do people plan to prompt for regurgitatations which are understandable? what if we don't get one? do we ignore it? any consensus on what to do about this?
