Smart Switch Demo
Tap application → relay clicks → OLED updates.
Button is instant. App takes a network round trip. That gap isn't lag, it's architecture.
Wi-Fi off, button still works. That's where the logic lives.

@andykmakes (Note: Defaulting to OFF is the industry standard for mains switches because you don't want a fan or appliance suddenly turning on while you are away).
Built an ESP32 Smart Switch:
⦾ Relay
⦾ Buck converter
⦾ OLED
⦾ Push button
⦾ Socket outlet.
The relay is the safety-critical part it's the only component touching mains. Everything else is 3.3V. Phase 1 of 4. Open to IoT roles. #ESP32#iot#TechHiveLabs#microcontroller
@andykmakes Great question. Currently, it defaults to OFF on power restoration for safety reasons. I'm planning to add NVS (Non-Volatile Storage) in Phase 2 so it can optionally remember the last state, depending on user preference.

Finished my ESP32 Smart Switch. The interesting part is the interface.
OLED shows LOAD, SCHEDULE, UPTIME. Button for override. Labelled input/output.
Why? Networks fail. State you can't see is state you can't trust.

The IoT SMART VEHICLE TRACKER is now packaged and deployment-ready.
LIVE TELEMETRY: GPS Fix, satellites, speed, altitude, coordinates, location, status. Live location transmitted to open-source map with visible road and terrain context.

Debugging the vehicle tracker has been a journey.
ESP32 + NEO-6M GPS + SIM900A + TFT Display.
Added WiFi. ESP32 connects. Added serial GPS works. Data flows. TFT just needs right formatting.
Hardware engineering is 10% building, 90% debugging. And I'm here for it.

WiFi connected. IP displayed. Database logging live. 2 cards get the green led while 1 get red
If you're building access control, never skip the "Denied" test. That single buzzer sound saves your entire database from corruption.

Building an RFID Attendance System (Part 1: Hardware & Logic)
Extracting UIDs: Every RFID card has a unique fingerprint. We read this to create a "white list
Ready -> Login -> Logout -> Unknown -> Denied. It’s basic, but it's the logic of life.
