NEW: We brought @AOC to deep red Georgia to talk data centers.
We found a data center rebellion, with people willing to radically shift their politics.
One conservative voter said: "If there's a chance that anything can be done, I feel like she's gonna be the one to do it."
@MBurtwrites Coming from a Baptist tradition as a child, it also reminds me of the argument that baptism must be full immersion. Because sprinkling would be “tinkering” with the obvious outward sign by this logic.
@GrandPOOBear Goes to show the importance of being able to develop players to perform at the pro level. In that sense, yes, Jets and Panthers are absolutely awful. Darnold had tons of of talent, but needed refinement. Amazing story.
@MBurtwrites Interesting. You could sedate him and take a sample. Pricey though, especially just to get a panel. We have our Malby on the stuff below for early kidney disease. But it takes a prescription, which probably takes a panel. https://t.co/pbh1bWkp1d
@DiceAndNames The article says that the company stated tariffs as the primary reason for the downsizing, and even pushed for more clarity about the tariff impact which prompted WWG to mention the other factors.
So which had better odds: the admin saying not to take Tylenol during pregnancy is a way to for them to get their followers to give vaccines (MMR) again, or to increase pain during pregnancy in accordance with original Eden curse Gen 3:16?
my aunt has been freaking out all day because she “ended up on the dark web.” i finally had her walk me through it and it turns out she accidentally opened an incognito tab in chrome
@BreannaMorello I was actually bewildered why anyone should care about this happening, but then I started reading the comments. Pretty obvious heresy with a few hints of racism. Gotcha!
@mnbookman@LauraRbnsn Why wouldn’t you say “I was walking WITH Laura…” so that Laura is part of of a prepositional phrase of instead of Laura is the direct object of the sentence?
Richard Hays (one of the world’s leading New Testament scholars) passed away yesterday. His final book, The Widening of God’s Mercy, came out just a few months ago.
In this book, he details how his mind changed on LGBTQ+ inclusion and affirmation after building relationships with queer Christians and studying the Bible alongside affirming scholars. He also apologizes for his previously non-affirming stance.
I was with him in October at an LGBTQ+ Christian conference where he reiterated his repentance and asked for forgiveness to a room filled with hundreds of queer people. Through tears, a young man shouted “thank you, Dr. Hays! We forgive you!!” It was a powerful moment that I’ll never forget.
In his late 70s and with failing health, Dr. Hays could have easily chosen never to address his changing belief publicly or correct his earlier work. I’m so grateful he chose this brave path instead. I believe Richard is with Jesus now and hearing those beautiful words from his Savior, “well done, my good and faithful servant.”
