@StagecoachSW Also, despite one being so late it was basically now the following service - they were sent out as a pair, which has to be wildly ineffective
@StagecoachSW genuinely concerned you have some sort of tracker on me and have a personal vendetta. This'll be the 7th bus in a fortnight that's been (effectively or actually) skipped. I don't even travel every day.
@StagecoachSW Of course! But when the only reliable thing about the service is its unreliability, there's a bigger problem. It was really good before the new timetable on 1st September, been terrible since.
@StagecoachSW Service cancelled. Sometimes two in a row! It's so unreliable to get to work that I'm sorting a parking pass because I just can't trust it to get me there.
@StagecoachSW Thanks. Sadly, skipping buses is not uncommon for this service, even when multiple are at the station. Is there a form you can link that I can fill out when it happens?
(For this one, th 6.30 was a few mins late, and full. Then another followed just a few mins later).
@StagecoachSW you have got to be trolling at this point. For half an hour, there have been THREE 57s sitting at Exeter bus station. The 6pm just... didn't run despite that.
One finally left according to the tracker (a mere 22 mins late) and it was OUT OF SERVICE. WTF is going on?
@MattRalphs2 my nephew and I started Little Sure Shot in the summer, and finally finished it over the Christmas break (with many reminders for me to bring it with me...)
Thanks for a story that enraptured a reluctant reader ๐
@thereadingpara We saw him at Budleigh Lit Fest in September, a really lovely author to hear speak! Hope you enjoyed.
Reading From a Low and Quiet Sea for Nov's book club to hear him write in a male perspective.
@SW_Help busy inter-city train (I'm travelling London to Exeter) and no luggage space for larger cases in 2 carriages I searched. (Only luggage rack bad high shelf only)
What a show for the #RWCFinal tonight, thank you Paris!
(Still a bit confused about Sophie Turner presenting the cup w Dan Carter though - Queen of North & King of South...?!)
@GWRHelp I'll ask when I see one, but it's a long train and they're not in my carriage at the moment. Best I can do is tuck it out of the way and keep an eye to move it at stations. Crazy lack of luggage racks for an intercity service!
@GWRHelp on the train from Exeter St David's to Paddington, and can't find luggage rack space for my suitcase. Too large for overhead. What do I do/where can I put it? No space in carriage C or D and suitcase too large to drag between seats
@StagecoachSW another day, another skipped bus. The 57 only runs every half an hour, and this is at least 4 skipped (in rush hour) in the last ~week and a half. Regularly adding 45 mins to my commute.
As a group, Stagecoach post operating profits of ยฃ72.7 million last year. I looked that up in the spare time I had while waiting due to yet another skipped bus. Get it together, @StagecoachSW
@DevonCC@ExeterCouncil Thanks - it was this (although hopefully sorted by now?):
Denver Road in Topsham is due for closure, but Station Road is currently closed on an emergency. Workers still showed up to put up confusing diversion signs at Denver, hope it won't be closed??
@ExeterCouncil (is this you or Devon DC?) Denver Road in Topsham is due for closure, but Station Road is currently closed on an emergency. Workers still showed up to put up confusing diversion signs at Denver, hope it won't be closed??
