Day 14: Retro handheld console 🕹️
I struggled a bit with this one at first before settling with a diffrent style from the one I use normally.

Day 21 of #psxApril: 'robot girl'
Having made the list of prompts for the challenge myself, some of my... preferences end up showing. That said, I really enjoyed designing and modeling this one!

Had another busy day so I skipped day 10 of my modeling challenge.
The theme for Day 11 was Skeleton Miner
When I make characters I usually draw a very rough reference sheet with front and side views, to help solidify the design before jumping into Blender

The theme for day 22 (had to skip day 21 😔) was Electric fan! 🍃 Simple model so I tried to spice it up a bit with the animation.
It came out nice, don't you think? Most of it was created with the Wiggle 2 add-on for jiggly bones!

Day 20: Fisherman 🎣
With this challenge I've also been trying to practice character design, since it's one of my weaknesses.
I'm happy with this guy, he looks like the kind of gruff guy who's actually nice deep down! What do you think?

Day 19: Crab 🦀
this model made me realize how little I knew about crab anatomy! I ended up with a fantasy creature-like design. If I had a bit more time I would have liked to rig and animate it. Maybe one day...

@Drainyard@ChristerEricson@s4schoener@lucasmeijer@odinlang At least with Jai we know one is coming. Jon Blow said some time after the release of his upcoming game he wants to open source the engine as reference project for Jai. (Stripped of game content, of course.)
I'm quite eager to try that one out.
@Drainyard@ChristerEricson@s4schoener@lucasmeijer@odinlang I don't really have insight into what other people start projects with these days. So many games are made with engines like Unity, UE and now Godot, all three of which are built with C++. And these tools have an incredibly long shelf-life.
@ChristerEricson@s4schoener@lucasmeijer And even if a language like that gets made (e.g. @odinlang), it more likely than not stays niche. It's very hard for any new programming language to get the ball rolling when it comes to adoption.
@staszekmazik@imnonplussed@valigo If you don't intend that something is changed, communicate that intend.
But don't assume the users of your code are using it wrong.
Instead, write your code under the assumptions it'll be around for longer than you support it and used to solve problems you don't even know exist.
@staszekmazik@imnonplussed@valigo Since you don't know all future users of your code and their actual problems, how would you know they're 'meddling'?
I've had enough cases where I needed to access private fields to debug, reproduce weird bugs or work around limitations of code I couldn't change.
@PixelpulseG If it makes you feel any better, most of those are engagement bait and not sincere sentiments. Twitter is getting absolutely flooded with that nonsense.
