Here’s one for you @theJeremyVine. One family, two cars, arrive at Dover @PoD_travelnews at 05:45 for 07:15 ferry. Happen to take different lanes in ‘buffer zone’. One car is last car onto said ferry, lower deck completely empty. Other car reaches border control at 08:25. 😳

@PoD_travelnews @POferriesupdate Please be honest with your timings. It’s 180minutes if you’re in the ‘wrong’ lane. Travelling with another car. We arrived at port the same time 05:45 for 07:15 ferry. We happened to take different lanes. They are on ferry that has departed. I am still not through border control

@PoD_travelnews usual chaos ensues. Why is there no consistent traffic management of the queues for border control? Central lanes barely move whilst the other lanes consistently move forward. It never gets any better, year on year. Utter joke.
