For us, there’s no greater honor than when founders choose to work with us again. We were lucky to lead @NirZicherman and @mignano’s seed round at Anchor, which became the leading podcast creation platform on their way to being acquired by Spotify. Some news: my former Anchor co-founder (@nirzicherman) and I are announcing a new company. It's called Oboe (@oboelabs), and our mission is to make humanity smarter.

We’ve both spent a lot of time in AI over the past few years. One thing we can’t make sense of is the fact that despite how much progress we’ve made as a species, human beings seem to be getting less intelligent. We invest so much of our energy in making machines smarter. But human beings? Not so much.

We’re building products that leverage AI to help people learn 10x more efficiently, effectively, and affordably than ever before. We do this through LLMs and a novel method of education that Nir has been building over the past year. While we’re co-founding this together, Nir is CEO this time around, and I’ll remain a full time partner at Lightspeed.

To help us get started, we’ve raised $4M from some of our former Anchor investors and a few of the smartest humans we know, including @EniacVC, @haystackvc, Factorial (@MattHartman), @homebrew, @offlineventures, @scottbelsky, @kayvz, @nikitabier, @tferriss, and @mlieber.
