@laurenmcookie Yes, they'd be less vulnerable. Most assaults occur from someone in power against someone with less. If someone assaulted their boss, they'd be fired immediately. People assume they can get away with it. Hopefully with the me too movement, people will realize they can't anymore.
@laurenmcookie @towelthoughts I agree, but vaping has existed for ten years. No one knows the long term effects yet. Besides addiction, most of the effects disappear with time, and they aren't life threatening or severe. While teens who vape are more likely to smoke, they'll assume it won't happen to them.
@laurenmcookie I found this article that goes into more depth and explains the reasons why finding a distinction is very difficult.

What do you think would be the best option?
@laurenmcookie For me, this article was very misleading, as it never mentioned the true reason for including this rule: determining whether athletes compete as male or female. Testosterone seems to be an unreliable factor, but all the others have been flawed as well.
@austinr2019 While it might be ideal to have regulations, they would be impossible to enforce. The government would only be able to provide rewards for not abandoning gear or for using recyclable equipment. Biodegradable options don't seem to be currently available, but would certainly help.
This is a game that mimics people's struggle who come to the US for asylum. However, it takes a very long time to complete. It took me about an hour. While this could help people understand the process, would people be wiling to try it?

The repeal of net neutrality was placed into effect yesterday, but with transparency still required for large internet providers and the system of consumerism, will customers really experience such drastic changes?

@Sophia_p16 It's likely that it will be sold to private industries after this product has been developed and undergone aggressive testing. Since they plan on spraying this on the garbage in the ocean, it should be relatively safe. Increasing its use can only be beneficial to the environment.
@MangoStickyRic3@Veloxx_a But in this case, they're used as surveillance, not to kill, so no true AI would be involved. I think that it would be unlikely that people would ever allow a machine whose sole purpose is to kill to be developed with AI, as the risks are too high.
It appears that countries other than the US are also creating stricter immigration policies. What do you think could be the cause of this? What is your stance on France's new law?

@cashewfrog I can understand why they would want to prevent illegal immigrants from using children to increase the speed of their acceptance, but I would assume that this percentage is a minority. Would parents would be willing to prolong the process if it meant staying with their family?
@Amandagw4 Every student who goes to Carrillo has had certain vaccinations. Mandatory vaccinations are already enforced in all schools, not just public ones, but the types required vary by state. This is necessary to prevent the spread of these terrible and sometimes deadly diseases.
@RobW61206889 People are more than their occupation and many realize this. Celebrities have been using their fame to advocate for change for a long time. The recent opposition probably comes from conflicting views. It's likely Ingraham wouldn't have said this someone with similar views.
@Cquyennn @KamalaHarris I feel conflicted as both the quality of life for people and potential lives are equally important. While I understand wanting to protect law abiding illegal immigrants, about 50% had committed crimes: some resulted in fatalities, some were against children, others were DUIs.
It's legal to deny service (not based on race color religion national origin disability) but should the law be amended to include occupation? Do the owners give valid reasons? Will police and councilmen reaching out help in achieving tolerance?

This article covers the numerous fake shooting threats and the consequences given. Considering the numerous threats in our school district and surrounding ones, is this "prank" gaining popularity? Will it end as consequences become well known?

@laurenmcookie There are many great works written by racist, sexist people, people who have committed crimes like rape and murder, and people on drugs. I can understand not wanting to support them, but there is no reason not to read these novels. As long as people donโt idolize them, why not?
This is a representation of statistics on mass shootings. It gives a brief history of each victim, shooter and weapon. These tragedies are becoming more common and deadly. Is society to blame? As the US progresses, should gun control too?

Does this seem like a fair agreement? Immigration seems to be a difficult topic for these parties to compromise on, but will this partisan measure have something both are willing to agree to?

@Cquyennn Regardless of custody, he will be in an environment he wants with his grandparents. Clearly the teen should be under hormonal treatment, but should parents be able to control treatment for their children if theyโre not suicidal? Should age for decision be reduced?
