So, instead of accepting that there was nowhere for him to go, Dr Ratnabali Ray Sengupta built one.

In 2004, after travelling to Kolkata in search of the right education and training for her son, she was advised to establish a school in Agartala for him and other children with special needs.

She returned and mobilised parents, friends and well-wishers to start Vidya Welfare Society.

Today, 22 years later, Vidya has 25 students, including four girls, and provides individualised education, therapy and skill-based training to help children build communication, social and functional skills and become more independent.

For Ratnabali, this was never just about building a school.
It was about making sure that no child is left behind simply because they learn differently.

🚨#BREAKING: Delhi Police lodges a fresh FIR under POCSO in goon Swatantra Bharadwaj’s case.

This is basis a fresh complaint given by the minor victim alleging online threats and harassment. So far, other major sections included: BNS section 351(3) for criminal intimidation threatening death, sections 78 and 79 for outraging modesty and stalking, and section 67 of the IT Act for obscene material. More updates to follow.
