This guy is one of the biggest clowns on the internet. He believes he’s non partisan and knows everything. There isn’t a more insufferable asshole. I feel sorry for anyone who works for him.

Broad strokes on minimum wage:

1. Take the < 15m making under $15 an hour in America and slowly get them to $20 an hour by adding ~$1.50 an hour each year for seven or so years

2. This Requires:

A) Keeping the border closed to illegal workers

And

B) Consistently and increasingly fining business owners hiring illegals (and off-the-books workers) to stop that abuse.

3. This will have little impact on employment and inflation, as we've seen in other regions whwr they have done this.

4. Carve out teenagers who can be paid 30-50% less, since we want them to get work experience, but they are in training and less valuable. I'm not sure of the right percentage, but we can experiment.

5. This will reduce the number of these workers getting government services intended for the poor — so taxpayers will get savings there, as opposed to the businesses underpaying workers.

We are all in this together, so act accordingly!

… and we should be proud of raising the minimum wage — not dogmatic about it.

The rich in this country would be happy to pay an extra 1% on their hamburgers and iPhones and DoorDash orders to see the poorest Americans have a $20 minimum wage
