Local gamestreaming has now gotten to the point where I can use my tablet speakers as a good enough audio source without any noticeable delay in the piped audio.
Using @mygamesir gamehub to stream the game in this case.
🚨 Meetup Alert!
We are hosting the first ever @ClickHouseDB meetup in Pune at the @One2NC office on 20th September.
Clickhouse is THE analytics database for the world. It's versatile, reliable and fast!
We at One2N have used Clickhouse for many use cases so we didn't want to miss the opportunity to host the first ever Clickhouse meetup in Pune.
There are some great talks planned, ranging from - storing sparse data in Clickhouse, Clickhouse for analytics use case, Clickhouse and Kafka integration, and more impromptu discussions...
It's an invite only event with limited seats so register fast. Meetup link - https://t.co/wUF19JNDEu
What a fun and geeky meetup this was - Command Line Heroes!
I wouldn't have predicted that CLI would get so much love, but it was a full house.
1. In my talk, I covered why Unix Philosophy is still relevant and how it ties to SOLID design principles.
2. @DarthChatri 's talk was super deep about how processes are forked and how piping works in Unix. In essence, he covered what happens at OS level when we run something like `ls -l | wc -l`.
3. We then had a command line competition (Link below). People practiced the CLI exercises and Akhil Narang won the competition.
Lastly, Aditya Athalye gave an impromptu demo of some cool CLI utilities (Tic tac toe in bash, website builder in bash and other cool stuff). This was the cherry on the top!
We then opened the floor for discussions and conversations.
We'll publish both the talks on @One2NC YouTube channel, make sure to follow us there.

Hey, experimenting with starting a new series of sorts, capturing watercooler conversations that happen at One2N.
Did a bunch of work shooting and editing this. Do watch.
Is your engineering team chasing metrics or building value?
We have a new series called One2NBits where @chinmay185 and @jdk2588 discuss about the powerful, and often misunderstood, world of DORA metrics.

Had my second Gigabyte AM4 motherboard die, this time nuking my 5700x3d and the memory as well. 🫤
Almost nuked the shopkeeper's tester CPU.
The motherboard is out of warranty but the CPU technically is, not sure if I can RMA it.
Ironically the PSU is fine.
@ankitanime@Aorus_IN I upgraded it last year, and it stopped working last week,
- replaced the PSU,
- next tried replacing the motherboard,
when my CPU didn't work on the new b550 board, the shop owner used his tester CPU on my old motherboard and the caps started smoking (shown above)
At @One2nC, we’re always pushing the limits of our tech expertise.
We're launching a blog series to share insights on RAG applications, vector databases, and operating LLMs. If these topics interest you, stay tuned!

For those who use AWS EKS + ContainerInsights - do you have a list of standard alerts like - https://t.co/dv7L4gHemi
I am checking to see if there is a way to get count type metrics and alerts on dynamic resources e.g. pods, auto scaled nodes, etc. strictly using cloudwatch.

@One2nC has a new website and a new domain!
The old website served us well but it had a lot of shortcomings that we fixed in the new version.
We also moved from .in to .io domain. The new home page for One2N is https://t.co/V6lds7S9x3
The playbook and the Go and SRE bootcamps also have a new home under the new website.
More interesting blogs, stories and case studies coming soon on the new One2N website soon!
