As a result of a US government directive, we are suspending access to Claude Fable 5 for all users. You can continue to use all other Claude models.

Here’s what this means for you:

Across Claude products, new sessions will run on your selected default model or Opus 4.8, and existing Fable 5 sessions will end with an error.

On the Claude Platform, requests to Fable 5 will also return an error. Please update your integrations to other Claude models.

@asdhuqiwuhdais @KenneyNL That's exactly the point? Add slop comments, code snippets, references and establish users and their slop repos by commenting on actual repos so it's harder to differentiate the body of data for training models.

@Dimillian @thsottiaux I made the same because for some reason threads started via the remote on my PC don't come with the full toolset. So I need a PC started thread to start threads. Seems like a odd little bug @Dimillian ;)

2) Give the same thread capabilities to remote conversations started via the mobile app (right now mobile can start conversations on my PC but those don't have access to the full tools for some reason!)

I think the part that appeals to many about this idea only works when you separate money from title. Which I think is needed even without any of that MTS concept in mind.
It's the only way to break out of that stupid loop of "You have to become a manager to make a good living". An amazing designer, artist, developer etc. all should make an impact without having to go that route. Eliminating the job title focus seems like part of that concept.
And with the widening of roles around AI it makes it easier to look outside what your job title implies without the typical political BS that comes with it.

Well Opus 4.8 is off to a great start... Haven't been able to complete even something as simple as reviewing a plan yet.

My wishlist for Codex and ChatGPT:
1) Let the conversational voice mode from ChatGPT create simple docs
2) Be able to send those docs to a codex agent
3) In codex app: Markdown files in the inbuild preview don't get updated nor have a refresh button :(

The recent Anthropic and Opus token debate is making this very clear: 90% of all complaints and hype are just regurgitated content by AI agents. Hard to judge what’s legit and what isn’t. I do not envy @bcherny @trq212 etc @amorriscode right now. Your social feeds must be hell

Same. I’m US / German and live in Germany. Everytime I visit family in the states it’s so disheartening to see how little human life is valued. And everyone immediately jumps on a left/right debate and isn’t focusing on the human suffering. The country has all the means to fix it and just … doesn’t. Makes no god damn sense.
