Hey Everyone! In 9 days I'll be riding 200-miles in Iowa to raise money for people who have suffered through human trafficking. The link below is a page that has a little more information about Break the Cycle: Hope for Justice. Please donate if you can!

@MarkBski This was a good ride. The type of bike plays a role with speed. When I'm with a group in a peloton, we (me, at least) can get upwards of 23 mph on the flats. I ride with some groups that I am the faster rider and others where I am hanging on for dear life.
@MarkBski@trikomes When they hold 5k runs at chemistry conferences, they convert to pm to make it sound like youโre doing moreโฆ 5,000,000,000,000,000 pm run sounds so much more exciting!
@MarkBski@majeikstagram Iโm lifting 3 days a week, riding 6-7 days. Iโm pushing my distance as I have a double century in 2 1/2 weeks. I had 250 miles last week. Iโll probably maintain that or push it a little bit higher the next two weeks, then taper.
@MarkBski@majeikstagram Ironically, before lifting I need to load up with calories, but for long bike rides, my body needs minimal calories before I start riding. Iโm usually good for about three hours of continuous riding before I need more calories. Fluids and electrolytes carry me there.
@MarkBski@majeikstagram Iโm off to lift now. I had 25 g of Ghirardelli 72% dark chocolate chips and a slice of sourdough bread with butter. Iโll drink electrolytes. For riding, itโs just enough chocolate to get something in my stomach, then I go w/ electrolytes. I donโt know why, but it works for me.
@North2North@Cubs@MLB@JesseRogersESPN Need to blend the different saves on this listโฆ
2-3 inning saves (nasty movement pitch, face the batters once, maybe twice (Sutter vs Sandberg comes to mind)) vs the 100+ mph, one inning saves. Not easy to do.
