@brook_the_mommy This is a tough one. I don’t sleep with my two cats, and they love to scratch my bedroom door at 5:30 AM. Instead of feeding them, I broke the cycle by spraying lemon scent in front of the door and feeding them later. Breaking the habit was hard, but worth it! Good luck!

@brook_the_mommy You can definitely use “person-first” or “identity-first” language. As a guy with CP I prefer a term like “mentally disabled” myself. As others have said, I wouldn’t use “special needs” or “differently abled.” Thanks for asking, and I love your cats! 😻

Breaking: President Biden just announced that the FDA has cleared the way for hearing aids to be sold over the counter without a prescription to adults.

Roe is a massive disability rights/disability justice issue. Not simply because disabled persons have sex, vigorously, enthusiastically, and quite often, but because there's a long history of the state imposing abortion on disabled persons.
