@bugcounter Better safe than listeriosis, I always say
But if listeria is in “a lot of food processing environments” it must have been found in a particular place that made it double bad to cause a recall?
@Teachforaliving I have so many recommendations! What field are you looking in? I would say cartoon guide to chemistry by Larry Gonick and Craig Criddle is a good place to start if you are looking for chem!
@benjaminchapman@bugcounter risky or not?! I soaked lentils Sunday afternoon for that night’s dinner and ended up having too much food so I drained the lentils and put them in the fridge. Are they risky to cook on Monday? Would they be risky Tuesday night?
Also I can’t tell if Ben really does like birthday wishes or not 🤔
...but I will just say @benjaminchapman I appreciate you and your work and I think it is cool that you do things that make the world a better place! 🎂!
Does it change if I didn’t drain them and the soaking process was extended? I love hearing the boundaries and edges of the problem... but maybe that is a different podcast!
@theandrewbriggs More surface area means colder faster. if you could pour it all in a pan to have a very shallow puddle that would be best. Also consider material of the container, you want something that transfers heat efficiently. Think styrofoam (bad heat transferer) vs metal (good transferer)
@bugcounter@benjaminchapman Yes of course this is purely a theoretical Risky Or Not. Without seeing the theoretical device that is theoretically attached to the gas tank, it is hard to say! But this sounds like I'm dithering now...
