- Provide affordable Voice only plans for less than ₹100 every month. Anything above this is forcing people to take data, even if they don't need it.

There are many who use only voice and also less than 1 GB per day. Need inclusive plans. Let users decide.

It is a Duopoly, Unfortunately. BSNL is trying hard to get some good plans. But their slow service has led to a Duopoly in India. Most towers are with both of you now.

A Middle Class Person wants to Buy 2 Wheeler for his family. He works hard, saves money & test rides a TVS Jupiter. He feels it is good for his small family.

He enquires the cost.

Ex Showroom Price is ₹76000. He realizes that this price includes 18% GST (around ₹11000). 18% YES, THAT'S RIGHT. Base Price is around ₹65000.

₹13000 Road Tax + Registration. Both PAID TO Government.

₹6000 for a Motor Insurance (18% GST ~₹1000 to Govt). Yes that is 18% GST.

Accessories ₹5000 (GST included)

So, now he totally has to pay ₹1,00,000.

He calculates that he eventually pays 70% to Dealer, 5% to Insurance company & 25% to Government. He has already paid 20%-30% tax to the Government in the First Place 😀😀

He feels a bit let down. But then he asks himself:

- Why am I Paying 18% GST on a 2 Wheeler when I have paid 20%-30% Tax already on my income?
- Why am I Paying 18% GST on Motor Insurance when this is supposed to Protect me in case of Accident?
- I am not taking any Loan, but still I Pay almost ₹25000 to Government just to buy a Vehicle for my Family. I pay ₹70000 to the Vehicle Dealer & ₹5000 to the Insurer. They also have to make some money out of it.

So I am actually paying Government so much for the Vehicle.

He asks these questions, but realizes that he is Middle Class. He pays the Taxes, buys the Vehicle, Takes Photograph & Goes Home to Enjoy with Family. He goes back to Work the next day, so that he can afford many other things. Cycle Continues...

This is the Story of Every Middle Class of India 😀❤️

Dear @RailMinIndia & @RailwaySeva Team,

Why does the Booking Algorithm allot a Side Upper Berth for a 70 Year old Lady & Side Lower Berth for a 20 Year old? Especially while booking well in advance and more than 100 seats left (Non Tatkal).

The Algorithm needs to be Revisited to avoid this. I understand that you have lots of seats for Tatkal, but Algorithm should allocate smartly and reward early bookings.

Expecting the Senior Citizens to negotiate with the TTE in the train is not right. Especially when the trains are in odd timings, Seniors find it very difficult.

Please work on this.

If anyone reading this feels this is important, please share widely until this problem is recognised and fixed.

"Never Give Up! Always Keep Smiling!" -- learnt this from my IIT junior, Himanshu. 🙏💪

A few months ago, Himanshu suffered a stroke and had to go through multiple operations, and is still recovering - something that could have broken anyone. But not him!

Our conversation yesterday was so inspiring. It reminded me of 3 powerful life lessons:

1️⃣ Health is everything!! We often stress about small things -money, work, office or daily ki chik-chik. But the moment health fails, all other problems look so small. never take health for granted.

2️⃣ Always give back! Himanshu led the Pan IIT community in the UAE, selflessly helping others. When he faced his toughest time, that same community came together to support him - what we give to the world, always comes back.

3️⃣ Never give up!! Despite everything he and his family have been through, Himanshu continues to smile. Even in these times, he inspires everyone around him. truly unbreakable. 🙌

His never-say-die attitude is a masterclass in courage and resilience. Hats off to you, Himanshu. You’ve shown what real strength looks like.

Arattai is on the surface a simple product but it has a lot of depth inside.

Let me list the engineering frameworks (all homegrown) that power Arattai.

First is what we call our messaging/AV framework. This has been the "real time" workhorse of Zoho for a while and this is what offers you those crisp calls and meetings that connect quickly. It has been perfected for 15 years.

Then we have a distributed framework that allows us to distribute the workload among many servers and databases, and provides fault tolerance, performance monitoring, security and so on. This is the backbone of Zoho and powers a lot of what you see on the surface and also keeps our systems secure. We have been perfecting this for over 20 years now!

We have teams actively working on these frameworks and they provide strong support to the Arattai team.

Our staying power comes from the depth of all the R&D we do. Recently I have moved full time to R&D and you will see many more innovations from us.

Finally being a dedicated engineer is like being a Rishi.

This is what I told our Arattai team yesterday: all of you have worked hard for over 5 years without expecting that the product would ever take off.

Allow neither praise nor criticism nor fame to distract you, resolutely stay the course.

That is our mindset.

Bollywood celebs, Cricketers who built their entire fame on public (and earned 100+ crore at least). Are now mass promoting these products.

(To earn some more money)

IPL will be over soon. We will have MORE kids who will get hooked to bad habits like gambling & eating pan-masala.

But:-

- The cricketers will get richer. Bollywood celebs will get richer.
- IPL will churn out even more money.
- Authorities will turn their blind eye on these powerful folks.

Society will continue to worship these demi-gods: who will kill kids at the alter of money.

When they are constantly bombarded with gambling betting/pan masala ads, what do you think parents can do?

- Stop them from watching IPL?
- Stop them from going out? (because then they will see SRK, Ajay Devgun showing their two fingers on a Pan Masala ad?)
- Stop them from reading newspaper? because then they will again see legendary crickets pushing people to gamble?

Blaming kids/parents/asking people to grow a brain only works: when the "system" is NOT pushing such things down people's throat. And, the environment is neutral.
