That penalty from Diaz was the worst penalty any one can take in the dying minutes of a tournament final. You will be a fool to believe the whole idea of getting Senegalese players back onto the pitch wasn’t a face saving move by CAF given that the referee already made the match fixing obvious.

Mane and the coach were the ones who charged the players to abscond in the first place. All of a sudden both men are determined they are back onto the pitch. Then that excuse of a penalty.

CAF fixed the game, but got caught and decided to end it 0-0 at regulation time, hoping it goes into penalties, but there was nothing they could do with the Senegal extra time goal. There’s no way to disallow that without making the whole tournament an utter and permanent joke.
