@RotheSoren@ScottHanson The game isnt played in slow motion. A foul was not called on the field. They were both going for the ball. I dont think he even saw the BH player.
@JeffreyBrandes All of the people commenting have never been to a public meeting where budgets/milage are approved. They scream waste and play into the theater from Tallahassee. How does this legislation get on a ballot without analysis.
@ira_anderson20@JeffreyBrandes@FLCities@flcounties The story I read said it's more regulation than impact fees. Historically you can collect the road impacts, the legislature changed that. In Florida, the building code is obviously more stringent due to hurricanes and flooding, especially south florida.
@ira_anderson20@JeffreyBrandes@FLCities@flcounties The FL state legislature prohibits impact fees for infrastructure. Hence CDDs. Local Govt generally, cannot collect for road impacts, mass transit, etc. The largest home builders in FL, submit some of the worst plans to building depts, then fight for private providers.
@JeffreyBrandes All these people complaining about local government stealing their money, but none of them attend the public hearings where the budgets are discussed every september.
90% of residents have no idea what local government pays for. This bill further reduces homerule.
@JeffreyBrandes The supporters apply a one size fits all approach. Some cities have more homesteads than others, they would be crushed. The biggest beneficiaries will be the new billionaire class who relocated here.. the FL legislature needs to reform property insurance and help everyone.
@BobbyOnlyOne@feldcorp@mitchellvii But mileageis set by counties, cities and special districts. This state has a cities and counties that vary by density and service requirements. How do you propose to pay for police, fire, roads, hospitals, water/utilities, or parks? Sales tax as high as 15%?
@Brendawendwhite@mitchellvii If you have a homestead in Florida there is a 3% cap each year. Depending on your location it's more than likely your insurance causing increases in your mortgage.
@BobbyOnlyOne@feldcorp@mitchellvii For many bedroom communities, homesteaded properties (primary residence) account for around 75% of the properties and public safety is about 65% of the budget. There is no plan to fund the shortfall. Th
@RonDeSantis So the values went up, but so have costs, it's all relative. It's more expensive to provide services like police, fire, utilities or roads. Local government needs this revenue. The focus on insurance reform. This would help everyone homeowners, renters, commercial properties.
This is Craig Erwich, the President of ABC Entertainment. He has the power to put Jimmy Kimmel back on air.
RETWEET to demand @ABC reinstate Jimmy Kimmel!
@AMous98128@greg_travis@dalepartridge Everyone uses life safety (police and fire), and providing safe communities is the role of a municipality. Roads and utilities are not fully funded through usage fees. Who is dumb?
@Fbsaltfly @ScienceDefend3r @smerconish@CNN@cnni@KristenWaggoner You realize that the private and parochial schools can turn kids away, where traditional public schools cannot. Public schools take the problem children or the children who may not be the most gifted, while the private institutions excel..
Obama: Imagine if I had done any of this. Imagine if I had pulled Fox News’ credentials from the White House press corps. Imagine if I had said to law firms that were representing parties that were upset with policies my administration had initiated, that you will not be allowed into government buildings. We will punish you economically for dissenting from the Affordable Care Act or the Iran deal. We will ferret out students who protest against my policies.
It’s unimaginable that the same parties that are silent now would have tolerated behavior like that from me, or a whole bunch of my predecessors.
Ben Shapiro calls Trump’s tariffs the largest tax increase on Americans in history that will decimate the economy, and one that stems from a complete misunderstanding of how international trade works and a misunderstanding of trade deficits.
Shapiro notes that the only time in history that the US had a trade surplus was during the Great Depression.
