In Florida, the building code is obviously more stringent due to hurricanes and flooding, especially south florida.

Local Govt generally, cannot collect for road impacts, mass transit, etc. The largest home builders in FL, submit some of the worst plans to building depts, then fight for private providers.

90% of residents have no idea what local government pays for. This bill further reduces homerule.

@JeffreyBrandes The supporters apply a one size fits all approach. Some cities have more homesteads than others, they would be crushed. The biggest beneficiaries will be the new billionaire class who relocated here.. the FL legislature needs to reform property insurance and help everyone.
