Here's part 1 (of 5) of my short course on efficient LLM inference that I taught at Columbia University. Slides are heavily updated from two weeks ago.

Check this out guys ๐
When I first started working on video diffusion models, I used to be really annoyed by how long it took to generate a single video and test different ideas. Context parallelism helps cut that time by a LOT!!!
The best part? It's trivial to add support for new models without touching the core implementation, while being fully torch.compile compatible!
Thanks to the entire Diffusers team for jamming with me on this, and HF for those sweet sweet H100s! ๐ค
@aryanvs_ Yeah, this Law of Accelerating Returns has been going on for billions of years and looks set to continue until we spread throughout 'the universe': https://t.co/ZXvBN8r9DY
Demis Hassabis says hallucination isn't always a bug. It can be a tool for creativity.
To solve hard problems with AlphaEvolve, DeepMind forced the models to hallucinate.
Most ideas were nonsense but some turned out to be useful.
"You can substitute the word hallucination for imagination at that point. They're obviously two sides of the same coin."
My second pipeline contribution to the @diffuserslib has just been merged, yay! ๐ฅณ
AnyTextPipeline specializes in visual text generation and was state-of-the-art when it was released.
Just try: https://t.co/unKSl8FObl
Thanks for this opportunity, @diffuserslib team!
@linoy_tsaban This was a nice read and listen, thanks! I notebooklmed the paper at the end, and it reminded me of these discussions: https://t.co/PXE9i4Fy6f
DALLE-2 has a secret language.
"Apoploe vesrreaitais" means birds.
"Contarra ccetnxniams luryca tanniounons" means bugs or pests.
The prompt: "Apoploe vesrreaitais eating Contarra ccetnxniams luryca tanniounons" gives images of birds eating bugs.
