@SandyofCthulhu Predictions:
Teela will be the main character.
She will boss all the guys around and all the men will be the comedic relief with humiliating scenes where they display some incompetence.
@FantasyGalaxies There were definitely problems with the prequels; no one denies that
But what they didn't do was undermine the legacy characters we already knew from the OG trilogy
They still maintained the spirit of the OG good-versus-evil struggle
@KenobiStig This was from the X-Wing PC game
I know it's not canon (OG Farlander should be), but it's hard to tell whether the helmet is fully enclosed or not
That said, you could assume some kind of force field, similar to those used in hangar bays, keep the atmosphere contained
TLJ is the worst movie ever but “dropping bombs” is not unique to it
They did it in Empire Strikes back as well
Bc ships in SW have internal gravity, dropping bombs from inside to make them “fall” in space makes sense
@AndrewZ24597481 The Last Jedi was the worst movie ever created
But this was not a bad scene
Space battle in SW had always been modeled off of WW2 strategy
Close quarter dog fight, battle ships engaging in artillery duels etc
Not 21st c modern combat
“Dropping” bombs is not unique to TLJ
@panzerboy39@genegx@Rothmus Ethiopia was a great Christian nation with a rich history before it was devastated in the 16c by a Caliphate
It built “Rock Hewn” cathedrals in the 12-13thc
But many were destroyed as was the nation
In its case, colonialism by islamists (not Europeans) was it’s downfall
@Rothmus In the 12-13thc, while under Christian rule, great “rock hewn” cathedrals were built in Medieval Ethiopia
But many were destroyed along with the civilisation by the Islamic caliphate in the 16c
In the case of this nation, colonialism (by Islamists) was detrimental
@EmperorKarino@memeslich I tend to agree
CN characters are selfish, but they do not go out of their way to commit evil for it's own sake
Serial killers, werewolves, undead, etc. are Chaotic Evil because they commit violence as part of their nature, not for any necessary objective that advances a goal
@kodawolf97@EndymionYT IMO If you're not going to respect the intent of orginal source material, best to make something else instead
eg I like Critical Role despite it's modern spin on DnD. Its orginal. It doesn't act to represent a legacy setting
I believe in gatekeeping OG IPs AND accepting new IPs
@kodawolf97@EndymionYT Correct
In LotR they are inherently evil
In warhammer they inherently chaotic and destructive
In Eberron, Shadowrun and Elder scrolls they are more grey
All versions are acceptable IMO as long as we respect their individual source material
This is what modern writers get wrong
@MalbonBen54283@EndymionYT Saruman’s are Uruks a different breed.
Tolkien has said orcs/goblins breed like humans
But that’s not the problem with rings of power. It’s the disrespect of the source material in regard to their nature (evil)
@EndymionYT In realms where undead skeletons can see/hear without eyes/ears, wizards cast spells and dragons breathe fire, a race that is or isn’t inherently evil is where we draw the line?
Orcs don’t have to be inherently evil (shadow run) or they 💯 are (LotR).
Both are acceptable Imo
@Undoomed In before headlines on opening weekend questions why men didn’t turn out to watch their movie.
This can’t be chalked up to incompetence anymore.
