Hey @SouthwestAir, fix your WiFi!! This has become a common occurrence on every SW flight I’ve taken the last 3-5months…what is going on!?
Terrible Quality of Service! This might be the final straw. I need to be able to work, or at the very least, reply to emails/slack🤬

🚨 $NBIS announces pricing of upsized private offering of $4B of convertible senior notes.
- $2.25B due in 2031 at 1.25% interest
- $1.75B due in 2033 at 2.625% interest
Conversion prices:
2031 notes: ~$183/share (~57.5% premium to yesterday's close of $116.33)
2033 notes: ~$181/share (~55% premium)
Potential dilution (if fully converted, based on YE2025 shares outstanding): ~8.7%
Overallotment option: Up to additional $600M available, potentially bringing total to ~$4.6B.
Net proceeds: ~$3.96B (~$4.55B if overallotment fully exercised).
Overall, I’m quite happy with these terms.
we’re less than 10 years from decoding all animal communication and BCIs that let us talk back
an entire kingdom of minds we’ve been ignoring for 300,000 years
going to be really fun
Logarithmic Map of the Observable Universe 🤯
Swipe for more — from Earth all the way to the cosmic web 👉🌌
Map credit: @pablocarlosbudassi & @universeatlas
From left to right, objects are placed by their distance from Earth — starting in our neighborhood and ending at the edge of the observable Universe.
Slides:
1️⃣ Inner Solar System
2️⃣ Outer Solar System
3️⃣ Milky Way
4️⃣ Cosmic Web of Galaxies
This logarithmic map spans nearly 20 orders of magnitude, showing (in one continuous scale!) how wildly distances change across space. You’ll spot everything from spacecraft, moons, and planets to star systems, nearby galaxies, and enormous large-scale cosmic structures.
Note: Objects are shown much larger than scale so you can actually see their shapes.

Enceladus, one of Saturn's midsize icy moons, is now recognized as a highly active ocean world with a global subsurface ocean of liquid saltwater hidden beneath a shell of ice roughly 20–30 kilometres thick (thinner at the south pole).Data from NASA's Cassini mission, including precise measurements of the moon's physical libration (a wobble in its rotation) and gravitational field, proved that the icy crust is completely decoupled from the rocky interior by this liquid layer. This large-amplitude libration can only occur if a global ocean is present. The ocean is kept warm and liquid by powerful tidal heating generated as Enceladus orbits Saturn in a slightly eccentric path, locked in resonance with the moon Dione. Gravitational flexing causes internal friction, producing far more heat than early models predicted—observations show 5–20 gigawatts emanating especially from the south polar region. This excess heat is now understood to arise primarily from tidal dissipation within a highly porous, water-saturated rocky core, where deformation drives vigorous hydrothermal circulation that carries hot water upward toward the ice-ocean interface. The sustained heating powers the famous cryovolcanic plumes that erupt through four prominent fractures called "tiger stripes" at the south pole, ejecting water vapour, ice grains, salts, silica nanoparticles, complex organic molecules, molecular hydrogen, and even phosphates—evidence of ongoing seafloor hydrothermal activity similar to Earth's deep-ocean vents.Enceladus demonstrates that even relatively small moons can maintain long-lived liquid water environments through tidal energy alone, dramatically expanding the range of worlds considered potentially habitable in our solar system and beyond.
