My fellow Chicagoans, our city is at the precipice

We have been suffering through insidious crime for decades but over the past 8 years under our current Cook County State’s Attorney Kim Foxx’s reign, we have fallen off a cliff

There is no more time, no more mulligans, no more excuses: “We need to right the ship and we need to right the ship quickly.” @EileenCookCnty

It is WELL past time to get the adults back in the room and I’m here to tell you that the first adult we need is, without question, Eileen to replace Foxx, period

I’m an outspoken proponent of Eileen, and although there are many reasons, this less than 2 minute video I took does an incredibly good job of explaining why, and directly from her own mouth, so please watch it

My favorite part is when Eileen says: “And, he’s a nice man…I’m a terrible politician, but he’s a nice man.”

I love this because I’m D-O-N-E with career politicians and NO politician would EVER call their opponent a “nice man” and mean it

Eileen isn’t a career politician, she’s a concerned, life-long Chicagoan who deeply loves our city and knows that it’s time to stand up and do something about it

The big difference between Eileen and any of us, including her opponent, is her EXTENSIVE experience in the criminal justice system as a State’s Attorney, criminal defense attorney, trial court judge, and for the past 7 years, an appellate court judge for Illinois 😳

@MalwareJake The other reason to not use cloud-based smart home devices is that most don't work when Internet is down. But you will see more that stay local. It's a bit more DIY right now, it's far easier than it used to be. Have your cake and eat it too.

@FrankMcG @d0tslash @HackingLZ @BlueTeamCon I'm all for it if one of the arcades wants to truck a load in. I used to own a killer queen setup partly for such purposes. Boy that was a huge pain. And then I don't want to send people elsewhere for an arcade party or whatever. I think it detracts from the conference.

@MalwareJake I think the pros of WFH outweigh the cons and probably in most cases. But I'll also say the cat's way out of the bag. Companies have long had teams distributed. This isn't new. So if your work really benefits from being in an office then you have to limit your hiring to local.

@FrankMcG It does have some financial value to the company in that they don't have a liability in the form of accrued vacation time. I am pretty sure I will switch to this at onShore some day for all the good reasons. I don't see much of a bad side.
