In doing everything possible to position itself for inclusion in a super league or expanded version of the SEC/B1G - whatever the next structure is - Texas Tech has masterfully made itself persona non grata
Texas Tech's defense of Sorsby is turning into a PR nightmare, and they deserve it.
McGuire: It's not like he killed anybody...
Campbell: It's not like he beat a woman... They're just scared!
Hocutt: This recovering addict needs to continue to play football.
Per reports, members of Congress working on college sports legislation are confused by the recent consternation around athletes gambling. Placing bets on outcomes they influence is a primary source of income for many of them.
Texas judge Ken Curry said Brendan Sorsby would suffer “irreparable harm” if he wasn’t allowed to play for Texas Tech.
Yeah, that’s exactly the point, you dummy. Good job ruining the integrity of sports.

Florida processes more than 10 million votes in a matter of hours.
California takes days — or sometimes even weeks — to count the votes.
It’s pathetic — and it’s corrosive to our civic culture.
dan wilson pulling miller in the 6th on only 72 pitches and then pulling ferrer after 0.1 ip and then leaving castillo out for 2+ innings when he's been bad and then bringing munoz in with inherited runners when he's been struggling lately when will he be fired
Who would have thought that Walt Disney drawing a Steamboat Willie cartoon would eventually lead to the destruction of college football almost 100 years later?
Basically the US paid $3.63 per resident, the UK paid $28.57 per resident and the LDS Church paid $88.89 per member in humanitarian relief. By way of comparison, another world church not on the list spent about $4.25 per member.
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis says when he became governor local governments were taking in $32 billion, now they’re taking in $60 billion
He says this is because property value assessors have raised everyone’s home values, so their taxes went up
Ron DeSantis says he wants to eliminate all property taxes for everyone on their primary home resident and he’s putting it on the ballot
“We could get to a point very quickly in Florida where 90 some percent are not paying anything. And eventually we, we'd phase in the elimination so it can be done. And if we don't do anything, they're gonna have 84 billion in revenue in 2031”
Eliminate property taxes nationwide
Why are we bailing out Spirit Airlines?
I don’t pay taxes to fund this socialism type crap.
Let em die. There are plenty of airlines to take their place.
NOTHING is allowed to fail anymore.
Capitalism has officially died in the US.
Taxing non-income-producing property is wrong. Homeowners should not be forced to work to pay "rent" to the government for the privilege of living in their own homes. Property taxes should only be levied on income-producing property, as the income provides a means to pay the tax.
