Today, the Higher Presidential Committee for Church Affairs in Palestine, on behalf of the State of Palestine, gifted the Nativity Scene made in Bethlehem to the Vatican in the presence of Pope Francis, who prayed for peace: “With our eyes filled with tears, we lift our prayers for peace.” 🕊️
A reminder that while politicians often dismiss the ‘slippery slope’ critique of euthanasia as a fallacy to be ignored, there are actually two different kinds of slippery slope arguments - one is indeed a fallacy, but the other is a major problem for the pro-euthanasia lobby.
@Cockle43@ManOnTheGreen@MartinSLewis HMRC are stretched to the bone (thanks Tories). I called them yesterday about some NI contributions I'd sent them - I'd been told to wait 6 weeks before it would be recognised. Apparently the queue is now *36* weeks long.
