@PeteUK7 Wow! That looks terrible. Not much sign of a filter behind that filthy grille so heaven knows what the inside of the ducting is like. I hope none of the air is recirculated without well monitored hepa filtration.
@SianMorton@PeteUK7 If the paper was difficult to separate, she should have been provided with a rubber thimble. Hopefully the instruments were on the way to autoclaving!
@thehorse1@afneil The rate of income tax has been increased by 2% on income from savings interest, dividends and property rent. But RR is still claiming that she's not broken the manifesto pledge. We can only conclude that her incompetence extends to an inability to read.
As we predictably approach winter, with the PREDICTABLE NHS winter pressures, just a reminder that both the predictable and unpredictable damage of respiratory viruses could be FAR better mitigated through infection resilience and widespread vaccination...

@1goodtern The problem seems to be that the remit of the JCVI is to consider only the cost balance to the NHS between vaccinations and load due to admissions, not what is best for health at population level.
I’m feeling really sick, nausea, headache fatigue etc. A few days ago, I had to go into a healthcare setting. No one was masked & I was in a small, unventilated room. If you can think of anyone who can sign this petition, please, please pass it on. 🙏❤

@drclairetaylor @now_grace@1goodtern That was an inspired call. We had lucky escapes with SARS1 and MERS. I only hope that GOF work on pathogens gets better controlled. I first heard concerns raised at 2011 conference.

@drseanmullen I read today that in India 50% of heart attacks are now in under 40's. The next decade or two will show us the truly horrifying damage that repeat Covid infections cause.
@Saffiya_Khan1 You would think that even Bridget Phillipson might be able to understand that a lot of these children have probably had multiple Covid infections affecting their cognitive development. A problem likely to get worse.
📢New UK Government petition just out: "Introduce new air quality and PPE rules for health and social care settings". If you're a British citizen or UK resident, it would be great if you could please sign it, & we'd be so grateful if everyone can share 🙏 https://t.co/7pNo1gwXKS
@_SharonThornton@SalWitcher controls, even if they have the knowledge of how to do so. Too often it is treated as some magic formula rather than a framework that incorporates a combination of measures.
@_SharonThornton@SalWitcher Very true. I think a more fundamental point with respect to Covid is that too many people in IPC have failed in the first requirement to correctly identify the hazard, namely an AIRBORNE pathogen, so they are unable to properly apply the important principle of the hierarchy of
