Wanted to tweet out and say I appreciate all the love being thrown towards the game this past week or two🙏🏻 it means everything
If I can be honest/overshare yet again, the amount of pressure and nerves I have been feeling the last few months is unlike anything I’ve ever experienced.
It is my first time working on a project for this long, and I didn’t anticipate the weight that comes with that amount of time. I am always trying to find unique/interesting ideas that can mean something, but being locked into one idea for so long really sets the stage for doubting everything.
On top of that, many incredible people have given just so many pieces of their soul to the project, the thought of failing to hold up my end, which would prevent their work from seeing the light of day, really scares me.
I think It’s easy for people to fall in love with videos and pictures of a game before it’s out, dream up the best possible thing in their head and fall in love with the idea. To hand someone something and say “I want you pause your life and try being this for a bit” is completely different. So seeing how much love people have been giving the game even after getting their hands on it has washed many of my worries away.
I don’t care how much it sells or how many people play as long as I can make something a little bit worthwhile to the people that tried it already and others that try it later, I feel like it’d take a bullet to stop me from delivering the best possible thing I can
@oldmanofthefire I like the idea of having attack and dodge be on the same side and similarly the vertical up and down responsibility. If not using two fingers for the shoulder button and trigger it creates that brake and accelerator single responsibility layout nicely.
@johanvinet if its starting as non-english title then it has even more issues than what others have shared. translating the meaning makes it sound weird, that is if it even translates well and the original name in english could be difficult to remember or pronounce.
@onsen023 The graphical presentation is beautiful but to me the sound effects and music make it even more striking. It looks like a game that already exists, not something that you stopped working on. You are a really good artist.
@ColorgraveGames bro the music in this game is crazy! I just sat there in the demo title menu listening to the sick guitars not even starting the game. this teaser has great music too. please put these out on youtube or somewhere else.
@Case_Portman I haven't played the game so I don't know if it's a good reaction or not lol. I did some looking and think it looks fine but if they could pull off the puppet snes cover style then that would have been incredible. I think it looks the best. Too heavy for switch 2 perhaps.
@floopyfan@yano_gamedev@GBAura_ from what I know steam refunds arent losses in the normal sense, it becomes net zero in balance. But chargeback costs can be shifted onto the dev, which are losses. chargebacks are highly risky for the user as it blacklists their payment option, as it's an SSA violation.
@RishiAlwani The title irks me, "game developers", but it's not me they refer to. I am aware that it's a generic term, but I read it as all of us are being represented here.
@AvianHearts said to me- That's what GDAI stands for, they speak for all of us, whether we want them to or not.
