Every time we “lock horns” with the brethren from the Provisionists' camp, they accuse us of repeating the same things like a parrot because of a “theological system.” Yet I haven't found anyone who will take the time to sit through applying consistent hermeneutics to the passages they so often contend with. The argument fails before we actually get somewhere.

Furthermore, it’s strange to me that they will go to positions more radical than theirs (i.e., Open Theism, Molinism, etc., etc.) to make a point the Scripture doesn't present. This confounds me, as people move further from the truth to claim they hold a truthful position.

Lastly, to our friends who hold this position and may be reading this post and comment know very well: when life’s muck, mire, and misery hit them hard, those who hold to God’s sovereignty and providence stay in the foxhole with them after the dust settles. By God’s grace, we know He’s working all things for our good, and ultimately for His glory. Yet I’ve yet to see the reverse.

Any doctrine without deed and doxology only goes so far. Wisdom is known by her children. And I must say that God never provides a “probability” for wisdom to bear children; all of God’s ransomed Church will be saved from sin because of Christ’s flawless and efficacious work on the cross.

This isn't providing a provision but completing something perfectly... the purchase of all who are His.

A privacy-first DNS resolver just chose to leave an entire country rather than lie to its users.

Quad9 is shutting off its free DNS service in France on November 24, after a French court ordered it to block domains that BeIN Sports claimed were facilitating sports piracy.

Quad9 refused.

"We categorically refuse to alter or lie to you about the DNS responses you receive in a way that opposes your expectations."

The court had actually reduced the fine to just €1,000 per day. Quad9 still walked away. Because the real problem was not the fine. It was the precedent.

Complying would mean either applying French copyright law to Quad9's global DNS infrastructure, or using geo-blocking methods that Quad9 considers technically unreliable and ethically compromised. Either way, the integrity of the service breaks.

This is what it looks like when a privacy tool takes its mission seriously. Most services would have quietly blocked the domains and moved on. Quad9 chose to exit instead 👏
