This pic is literally one minute bike ride from existing infrastructure. @NYC_DOT should be JUMPING on low hanging fruit like this. 156th Ave is absolutely wide enough for class 2, maybe even class 1 protected lanes! Take it up 79th street & u quickly connect to Loring Ave lanes.

Wasn’t the point of street master plan to make @NYC_DOT evaluate possibility for #bikenyc infrastructure when repaving? Touring my childhood neighborhood today & there’s no way any consideration was made before marking this 65’ roadway up same as it was. @StreetsblogNYC

Crazy we’ve had the Flatbush Ave #bikenyc lane for 7 years already by @prospect_park & still don’t have connections to it from neighborhoods to the east. New Ocean Ave work is good but for anyone in crown heights or PLG, this is the attempt to get to a protected lane. @eanorv

@LincolnRestler @CMRestler @NYC_DOT This is good! Thank you! I also highly recommend a Restripping of the crosswalk be done too. No point making new signs that point to faded infrastructure. DOT does tremendous work but I don’t think the striping program has improved much at all in the last decade. Please help!

@JoannAriola32 I grew up in the heart of the Councilmember’s district & though we don’t see eye to eye on many things such as transportation, I 100% agree with her on the EMS staffing crisis. These first responders are not properly paid & we as a city suffer for it. Let’s do better.
