I spent the better part of today learning React. It is not much, but I am excited to keep going!

The focus of this week is:
- Defining our product features
- Getting to know our team members!!
- Establishing a product deadline (three weeks?)

[Michael DeMarco @michaelfromyeg]

today was a mixed bag of community things (first couple coffee chats through @summer_of_ship), where I discussed

- what makes personal projects successful? (choosing something you *DEEPLY* care about)
- living in MV, a crazy @kp_fellows overlap + more

and some dev work (1/)

Really proud to present https://t.co/Xs7lSqtD2y (groUber = groups + Uber). Got together with some buddies this weekend for @mlh's "To the Moon and Hack" and this is our product.

Our goal was to hack the "ride-sharing" experience when you *own* the cars, that is, carpooling. ⏩

We just wrapped up our last official meetings of the summer!

SoS started as a response to cancelled internships (by over 300 companies) and we've had a crazy ride. We'll write a recap later, but check out the recording of our last Thursday meeting!

Hasura is an amazing service which you can point at any PostgreSQL database to automatically spin up a realtime GraphQL API for your data. In this guide, we'll use Hasura to build a secure todo list app.
