"I saw six patients relapse with melanoma in six weeks."
Testifying before the Senate today, oncologist Prof. Angus Dalgleish described seeing melanoma patients who had been stable for years relapse in a short period of time.
"They'd been stable for 3 to 18 years, and the thing that was common is they'd all received a booster vaccine."
Dalgleish also said he was hearing reports from fellow surgeons of colorectal cancers "presenting late stage 4, not stage 1 or 2," and appearing "in patients in their 20s, 30s and 40s in a way that we have not seen before."

Sacsayhuamán ("satisfied falcon") is a colossal fortress-temple complex perched above the Inca capital of Cusco, Peru 🇵🇪, and represents the pinnacle of Inca engineering. Constructed in the 15th Century CE, the site is most famous for its immense, zigzagging defensive walls built from gigantic stones. These megalithic blocks, some weighing over 125 tons, are not merely stacked; they are meticulously cut into irregular shapes and fitted together with extraordinary precision. This signature Inca ashlar masonry—achieved without the use of mortar—has allowed the structure to withstand centuries of powerful Andean earthquakes, showcasing a profound and mysterious understanding of physics and anti-seismic construction.
The sheer power demonstrated by its construction is difficult to comprehend. Archaeologists estimate that acquiring, shaping, transporting, and fitting these stones—many of which were brought from distant quarries—would have required the organized labor of tens of thousands of people and sophisticated logistical planning. While its military function as a defensive fortress protecting Cusco is clear from its high location and battlements, its ceremonial significance is equally vital. Sacsayhuamán housed important religious shrines and served as a ritual center, potentially forming the "head" of the sacred puma figure that the Incas used to design the city of Cusco itself, blending spiritual and practical purposes.
The mystery of Sacsayhuamán largely resides in how the Incas achieved this feat without metal tools, wheeled vehicles, or lifting machinery known to them. The intricate, pillow-like junctions where multiple massive stones meet are particularly baffling to modern engineers. Following the Spanish conquest, much of the upper structure was systematically dismantled, leaving behind only the immense foundation stones that the conquistadors could not move. Today, this UNESCO World Heritage site remains a compelling symbol of the Inca Empire's ingenuity and organizational might, prompting ongoing research into the ingenious and still not fully understood ancient technologies that made such precision possible.
