Great job Criss. Nice to get this out. A great example of the utility of the SILCS technology in identifying a novel allosteric binding site as well as modulators targeting the site. @silcsbio
Today we’re sharing a deep-learning method for protein design called RoseTTAFold Diffusion. With minimal input, it turns prompts (“create a molecule that binds X”) into new proteins that fold and function in the lab. We’ve tested 100s already.

This summer, I was stuck with a graphical abstract.
I was looking for simple icons of molecules, and I couldn't find anything. So I made it myself!
I'm happy to share the Molecular-Icons Generator!

I hope that someone could find it useful.😁
I don’t think I’ve fully internalized how frankly bizarre the world of suburban mega churches are. And I’m saying that as somebody who attended one as a kid
Chemistry meets GLEE: A Thanksgiving Production. Saying a prayer for good NMR data before leaving campus. This might be my favorite video my research students convinced me to make 🥰
TLDR: Many small-molecule fragments bind differently to proteins at room temperature (red) instead of the usual cryogenic temperature (blue): new binding poses, binding sites, solvation patterns, and even allosteric protein responses. (2/)

May have finally figured out how to get the classic Goodsell style entirely inside of Blender. Still some depth-shading problems to work on though.
