TMC goons storm into Central Excise Officer; Shri Pradeep Kumar’s apartment in Rajpur; Sonarpur (outskirts of Kolkata), vandalise his home, smash his head.
This is the total collapse of Law & Order in West Bengal.
Today, I visited Shri Pradeep Kumar to show solidarity. What happened last night is beyond belief: A minor argument with an auto rickshaw driver snowballed in to an incident of hooliganism, which has laid bare the Law and Order situation of West Bengal.
The Auto Rickshaw driver - Ajijul Gazi, happens to be a close aide of Nazrul Ali (husband of Sonarpur Uttar TMC MLA Firdousi Begum), along with 200 TMC workers gathered outside the main gate of the apartment complex. Later over 50 goons illegally and forcefully breached the gated society, barged into the Officer’s flat, beat him brutally, injured his head, misbehaved with his family members and vandalized his home.
The Police were called around 9 PM. Response? Busy with other work.
That “other work” is clearly shielding TMC terrorists.
If a serving Central Government Officer living in a gated complex can be attacked with impunity, No one is safe in West Bengal anymore.
Under Mamata Banerjee, there is no law, no order, only TMC’s Goonda Raj.
This jungle raj must end.
I stand firmly with Shri Pradeep Kumar and his terrified family. The culprits must face the harshest punishment immediately .

An unprecedented situation has arisen due to Shri Sanjay Roy, Commissioner of CGST & CX, Haldia Commissionerate, in Kolkata. A multi-storied building situated at Strand Road, Kolkata where both the Howrah and Haldia Commissionerates of CGST & CX are functioning. This building, constructed in 1974, has long been a subject of concern for renovation, Inspectors’ Association persistently raised issue of renovation and finally a significant amount has been sanctioned by the DGHRD.
Now, the Haldia Commissioner has issued notices to all associations to vacate their rooms, stating that they cannot be reassigned to the associations afterward. The Inspectors’ Association has pledged to hand over its room for renovation, despite receiving unwarranted letters from the Commissioner's office. As per DGHRD manual, every recognized association entitle to get space as provision but he is refraining from the statutes.
Within the building, there are two well-furnished suites designated for the Commissioners—one on the 2nd floor for the Howrah Commissioner and the other on the 7th floor for the Haldia Commissioner. However, the Haldia Commissioner plans to convert the 7th floor solely for Class One officers, while Group-B officers and below are relegated to that floor. Such a mindset reflects colonial habits and demoralizes subordinate officers.
Considering the building's age of over 50 years (constructed in 1974), major construction changes at this stage pose significant risks to the safety of officers working there. Any mishap would hold the Commissioner accountable. Additionally, proceeding with renovations without proper architectural plans would result in a wastage of public funds.
Therefore, it is requested that the entire matter be re-examined to ensure that renovations proceed according to architectural plans, rather than through ad hoc decision-making.

Kind attention is invited to #Justice4Abhijat . Request from @narendramodi to intervene in the matter to provide justice to an innocent warrior and whistleblower who raised voices for his Inspectors cadre and also in favour of your vision of corruption free India. But Sri K P Singh, the Principal Commissioner removed Sri Abhijat Srivastava from his service which is totally a vindictive action and bad in law.
AICEIA has decided to take a call of agitation programme against this atrocities of authorities and also request from every Inspectors to participate in it.
