You cannot erase a bad habit.
It is a circuit which has already been created.
You can replace it with a better response to the same cue.
Same trigger. Different response. Better habit.

Why do South Asians get type 2 diabetes at much lower body weights? The answer is in their fat cells.
These are fat cells from two young men with the same BMI. The South Asian man's are on the left. The white man's are on the right.
At the same BMI as white Europeans, South Asians carry more body fat, bigger fat cells, more liver fat, and higher insulin. Here is what the studies show.
1. Same BMI, much bigger fat cells.
In 29 South Asian and 18 white men, average age 27, BMI was 24 vs 23. Body fat was 22% vs 15%. The average belly fat cell was 3,491 vs 1,648 µm² in cross section. Treating the cells as spheres, that is about 3 times the volume of fat per cell on average. The samples in the image show an even larger difference. The larger the fat cells, the worse the insulin resistance. Visceral fat was the same in both groups.
2. Matched for age and BMI, still more insulin.
Asian Indians matched to white adults had similar fasting glucose but higher fasting insulin, and they cleared glucose about 40% less well on a clamp test (4.7 vs 7.5 mg/kg/min).
3. Fat cell size explains much of the insulin gap.
After adjusting for age, sex and BMI, South Asians had larger fat cells, liver fat of 9.9% vs 2.5%, and higher fasting insulin. Adjusting for fat cell size cut the insulin difference in half.
4. Lean and young.
Among 482 lean young adults, insulin resistance was 2 to 3 times more common in Asian Indians than in any other group. The men had about twice the liver fat of white men.
5. It starts in childhood.
South Asian children aged 8 to 11 in Britain were not heavier than white children, but their fasting insulin was 53% higher, with similar blood glucose.
My view: fat cells can only store so much. When they are full, they become insulin resistant and release more fat into the blood, and that fat ends up in the liver and muscle. Insulin rises to compensate. South Asians appear to reach that limit at a lower body weight.
For a South Asian person, a normal BMI does not mean normal metabolism. Fasting insulin, waist size and liver fat say more than weight.
One of my clients started drinking my 2-minute sleep tea before bed.
Her sleep score jumped from the low 80s into the 90s, and she stopped waking up to go pee.
Takes 2 minutes to make and has 3 ingredients:
- Bag of chamomile tea
- 5 to 10g of glycine
- Quarter teaspoon of sea salt or electrolytes
Drink it 2 hours before bed and you might have the best sleep of your life.
Muscle biopsies show that cocoa significantly enhances the activity of our mitochondria (the cellular power plants in our muscles), improving exercise capacity. https://t.co/eqwIvKTI5f

People who suppress anger long enough don't explode. They eventually just get sick. Chronic pain. Autoimmune issues. Fatigue that no amount of sleep fixes.
Your body attacking itself.
Fear draws a map.
It marks the rooms you shouldn’t enter, the risks you shouldn’t take, and the versions of yourself you shouldn’t become.
Most people spend a lifetime obeying that map.
But the places fear warns you about aren’t always dangerous. Often, they are just unfamiliar.
Don’t let fear decide the limits of your life.
P.S. My biggest fear was public speaking.
When I was invited to deliver my first public talk, I was extremely anxious. I wanted to avoid it. I struggled with the decision.
Finally, I said yes.
Little did I know that one small step would open up one of the most fulfilling phases of my life.
I went on to conduct hundreds of motivational workshops for students, parents, and teachers.
It helped others to grow. It also made me a better parent and a better counsellor.
Sometimes, the thing you fear most is the very thing that can change your life.
What fear have you overcome ?
Or
What fear do you want to overcome?

Lack of motivation isn't always the villain.
Sometimes, it reveals what you truly value and what you don't.
You don't lack motivation for everything.
You lack motivation for what doesn't matter enough to you.

GAS AFTER LUNCH IS NOT FROM THE DAL OR ROTI.
IT’S FROM FOOD SITTING TOO LONG. You finish eating, then sit or lie down.
Weak Agni. Food ferments. Gas builds by 4–5 pm.
You blame the meal.
Do this for 3 days:
holy f*ck, an ex-Apple engineer who spent 6 years building the Apple Watch just quit to build the most advanced AI health agent.
it reads your smartwatch and health data and knows a migraine is coming before you do.
then it books the doctor, sorts your meds and deals with insurance.
this is exactly how I imagined the future, more info below:
I left @Apple to build healthcare that listens and acts early. Today, I'm excited to introduce UniqueHuman.
We're building proactive healthcare agents that handle every step of care for people with chronic conditions.
Our mission is to end chronic suffering. Today, we begin with migraines.
The thoughts you repeat become the habits of your mind.
Dwell on problems, and your mind learns to find problems everywhere.
Look for possibilities, and your mind learns to find opportunities.
What you repeatedly think, you train your mind to think.
