Hip and glute hold for a locked-up low back
Ease into a slow hip/glute position and breathe there. If you can’t get all the way in, shorten the setup. Don’t force the end range.
Uses: opens tight hips and glutes, eases that jammed feeling after sitting, and helps the low back stop compensating.
Result: easier standing up, less afternoon stiffness, and a back that doesn’t feel packed after a long desk day.

🧐3 exercises that improve lumbar spine control and hip mobility?
Your hips don’t only need to move forward and backward.
This sequence is a nice example of giving the hips some rotational movement too. Lying on the back keeps things relatively simple, while the legs move through different positions and the pelvis follows.
That can be useful after long periods of sitting, when your hips spend most of the day in a pretty limited range.
But I wouldn’t call this a “hip alignment fix.”
The goal is much simpler: explore rotation, control the movement, and gradually make those positions feel more familiar.
One cue I’d keep in mind: let the pelvis move naturally rather than trying to pin it completely to the floor.
Mobility isn’t about forcing a joint into a perfect position.
It’s about having more options—and being able to control them.
Your upper body is locked.
That’s why your throw, swing, and jump all feel stuck.
