.@JoshiPralhad@VSOMANNA_BJP Sir, the article mentions that the proposed superfast train between Bengaluru & Mumbai via Hubballi will operate as a bi-weekly service
We kindly request your intervention to introduce this proposed SF service as a daily train via Hubballi @SWRRLY
Gadag–Hotgi line is doubled & electrified, Time to intro a much-needed Bengaluru–Vijayapura SF Exp with a 10hrs journey
Sri @mbpatil has highlighted the need for a fast connection btw BJP & SBC. Time for @swrrly to step up & provide a daily service with this target journey time

Bengaluru is still waiting for its first quadruple railway line, while neighbouring cities/states are already planning 5th and 6th lines. This stark contrast highlights how severely railway infrastructure in Bengaluru has lagged behind despite its massive population and economic importance.
Who is responsible for this backwardness in railway infrastructure planning for Bengaluru? Policymakers, planners, or lack of priority? Your views.

Prioritising Fair Rail Connectivity
When Kozhikode already had a daily train to Bengaluru, what was the need to extend the dedicated Mangaluru–Bengaluru train up to Kozhikode? Such decisions raise serious questions about planning and the equitable allocation of limited railway capacity.
If Kozhikode required an additional service, the Railways could have introduced a new train via Tamil Nadu instead of extending an existing train that already runs through the constrained Shiradi Ghat section. This route has severe slot limitations, and every path through it is extremely valuable.
Coastal Karnataka is already struggling to secure additional train services through Shiradi Ghat due to these operational constraints. Extending an existing train beyond Mangaluru, when an alternate route via Tamil Nadu is available, only increases pressure on an already saturated corridor while regions dependent on this route continue to face connectivity challenges.
A balanced approach in railway planning is essential to ensure fair connectivity for all regions.

Mysuru doesn’t need an Amrit Bharat Express to Thanjavur or Tuticorin, as both destinations are already served by regular daily trains.
Instead of duplicating services, kindly terminate it at SMVT Bengaluru - or better yet, introduce a much-needed Amrit Bharat Express between Mysuru and Bidar to strengthen north–south Karnataka connectivity.

Five months have passed.
Where is the promised daily superfast train between Bengaluru and Mumbai with a travel time of under 19 hours?
An announcement was made with much publicity. Passengers were assured faster connectivity between two major economic hubs. But on the ground, there is no clarity, no timeline, and no service.
@AshwiniVaishnaw should answer: If a ministry cannot operationalise a promised train even after five months, what does it say about its administrative efficiency? Is it a question of delay, lack of planning, or inability to execute?
People deserve transparency, accountability, and timely implementation - not just announcements. @VSOMANNA_BJP@PCMohanMP@ShobhaBJP@DrCNManjunath@PMOIndia@JoshiPralhad@narendramodi
Due to the non-punctual arrival and departure of the Vishwamanava Superfast Express at KSR Bengaluru in the evening, passengers traveling towards Mysuru are facing severe inconvenience.
The videos below are from today’s Chamundi Express. The train is overcrowded to the brim, with passengers having no space to stand or even get fresh air to breathe.
It is high time that SWR ensures punctuality of the Vishwamanava Superfast Express and considers operating an additional evening service from Bengaluru to Mysuru, at least on weekends.
We urge MP Mysuru @yaduveerwadiyar & @VSOMANNA_BJP to kindly intervene and find a solution to provide relief to passengers traveling between Mysuru and Bengaluru. @drmsbc@SWRRLY@AshwiniVaishnaw@RailMinIndia@PMOIndia
It is pathetic that @DrmMys@SDommys could not provide a rescue loco to Malgudi Superfast Express this morning at Mysuru itself. Despite Mysuru being the Divisional Headquarters, it took more than an hour to arrange a rescue locomotive. This clearly reflects the functioning of the office and the lack of concern for passengers’ time.
If Mysuru, as a Divisional HQ, does not have standby locomotives to handle such failures, it is truly a matter of serious concern.
@RailMinIndia@AshwiniVaishnaw@VSOMANNA_BJP@SWRRLY If the required infrastructure cannot be provided to a Divisional Headquarters, then what is the purpose of maintaining the division at all? @DrmMys
Again, the Udyan Express has been slowed down by the Railways. The lone dedicated train between Bengaluru and Mumbai continues to be neglected.
It is disappointing to see that no priority is given to this important route despite the consistent demand and its significance for travelers between the two major cities.
Now, the CSMT departure has been revised from 08:10 hrs to 07:55 hrs. Passengers deserve better journey hours.

Despite being highlighted multiple times by many, including us, the persistent delays of this particular train remain unresolved. Sadly, the @RailMinIndia seem to have developed a thick skin toward this issue @AshwiniVaishnaw@VSOMANNA_BJP
Congratulations to the people’s representatives of Bengaluru 👏
Three new weekly trains are being introduced from Bengaluru to various destinations in West Bengal.
Is the upcoming election the reason for this sudden push? 🤔
Meanwhile, a Bengaluru–Mumbai Superfast train with a journey time of 19 hours or less has been pending for decades - along with the Bengaluru–Kalaburagi–Bidar Express.
Do we need to wait till elections for these too?
