The PM has described the person who egged him as "cowardly," which seems odd considering the quantity of courage that'd be required to throw an egg at someone like him with knowledge of the consequences, vs (say) the courage required to vilify brown people in concentration camps.
On a more positive note, if anyone affected by Telltale's shutdown is interested in the drone/aviation sector, we (Wing, at Google) are hiring for software engineers in the South Bay. #TelltaleJobs

This week's news about Telltale is really disappointing, and it speaks strongly to the weaknesses of employment law in the US and the lack of unionisation in the software industry.
While the software engineering job market is buoyant in the Bay Area, I really hope that all the creative staff; the artists, storytellers, game designers are able to find other roles around. This should be a catalyst for us to rethink game monetisation and industry health.
Aside from the absurdity that is US political bribery.. the subeditor really missed an opportunity here.

@EmilyKager Nope, proofs are rarely relevant in industry! It's helpful to understand the generic concept of algorithmic complexity, but going all formal? Not necessary for a rewarding CS career.

I'm not a fan of the A-G having exclusive power over ASIO, but compared to Dutton's mega-clusterfuck of a "home affairs" department, it's definitely the lesser of two evils.
No one minister should have are not as wide as that of Dutton's powergrab. https://t.co/5Y2ew3QfP4
