@Geiger_Capital@Micro2Macr0 What are the metrics that matter here? How does this translate to everyday quality of life? I find Canada to be an incredibly diverse place with little crime and a high standard of living. Seems like the growth in the US has gone to the elites as standards of living plummet.
@schnaars Out here in Thailand they have been checking temps everywhere since Feb. You know what else gives you hot forehead? A scooter ride in 100 degree heat! Ive been pulled aside and made to sit in a chair so I could cool off before entering the grocery store. Not fun... 😅😷🇹🇭
@brentron5001 @RichardBarrow_ @JohanDXB I think the death toll and hospitalization rate are more important than trying to understand the total number of cases. Even if there are a ton of other cases (as there certainly are) if they don’t need hospitals and aren’t dying... then maybe it’s not as bad as we thought 🤞🏼
@RichardBarrow@MFAThai@NatapanuN Hey that’s me in the blue hat in the first pic! Yes it was a shit show. We got a number and we’re told a time to come back tomorrow. Lots of thai volunteers (thank you Namfon!) trying their best and lots of frustrated foreigners losing their patience.
@RichardBarrow Some of us don’t have a ‘home’ anywhere else - we moved out of our apartment and left for a 6 month adventure... on Feb 1st. I’m from US, my partner is from Canada, but our stuff is in storage in London where we lived the past 2 years. What would you do?
