FTNMR has been a method of choice for collecting spectra for the last 50 years. See why and how an alternative based on phase-incremented steady-state free-precession could improve NMR for small molecules without bandwidth or resolution compromises https://t.co/pSbqsutgwY
Despite the pain around us, we are honored to be among this year's ERC AdG awardees. Kudos to the collaborators that helped us launch "SteadyNMR" and to the reviewers and experts that endorsed our proposals to enhance the acquisition of NMR and MRI

Check out our new paper in @NatureComms!
We report a much improved structure of the TRPV3 pentamer, analyzing its high permeability capabilities and its mechanistic ability to reversibly transition to and from the canonical tetrameric state.

It was "one of THOSE evenings" with family and friends at the American Physical Society meeting in Anaheim, with the receipt of the Broida Award for outstanding achievements in magnetic resonance spectroscopy and imaging. So many people to thank, that i don't know where to start!
With few scientists was our collaboration as long and fruitful as with Dr. Eriks Kupce. Delighted to see Tamar Wolf's final PhD paper devoted to Eriks Kupce's special JMR issue, illustrating the use of adiabatic pulses for cross-polarizing from dipolar-order. Open access below

With the passing of Alex Pines the world is a bit dimmer today. Alex was a great scientist, but even a greater mentsch. His generosity, empathy and "firgun" were contagious, and turned people from self-centered, into open and caring. May his memory be a blessing
