When Russia revealed that the US lost $324 billion by exiting Russia, this strategy marked a historic shift in economic pragmatism.
In my latest, I explore the key roles of @kadmitriev and @rdif_press and how economic interests secure the future.

The Russians are wondering why millions of their Grandfather's and Great Grandfathers gave their lives to save Europe from the Nazis
They now recall the great Russian Marshall Zhukov famously saying
"We have liberated Europe from Fascism, but they will never forgive us for it"
@yanisvaroufakis As you may be aware who controls the debt in EU will shift. The EU is actively fundraising amongst private sector- this will transform the financial landscape worst than the USA whereby EU is accountable to banks and not citizens
I’m hosting a Spaces on the upcoming Zelensky Summit in Saudi Arabia with @tdekerros - join us if you want the Saudi perspective.https://t.co/AFKGYi4Ra2
Most people responding do not seem to get the grasp of fundamental government budgeting. You think spending a defense, welfare and pensions work together?
Europe simply cannot afford everything anymore, pick three most crucial spend categories out of this list:
1. Defense
2. Generous welfare
3. Investment in future technologies
4. Uncontrolled illegal immigration
5. Net Zero
6. Pensions
@GuntramWolff On the contrary. This will raise the cost of borrowing, crowd-out private sector, increase production costs, reduce FDI & exports and the list goes on. https://t.co/5f4vR8x0Ka
@NicholasGuyatt A debt crisis, spiraling household costs, no education, impoverished...exactly the type of disenfranchised youth EU wants to build to not ask questions, swallow propaganda and fights
@chamath I wrote about this yesterday. From a fiscal and competitiveness perspective it goes against building industry and enabling private sector. Let’s not even speak about debt spiral https://t.co/vxQCcdVPpJ
China just unveiled a colossal 1 trillion RMB (!) national VC fund dubbed a “carrier-class” initiative specifically targeting AI, quantum computing, hydrogen energy, bio-manufacturing, 6G, etc.
According to the NDRC chief, the fund will take a “patient capital” approach, focusing on early-stage innovations and providing long-term financial support.
@ischinger Same problem in Switzerland. The only time I agree with @spschweiz that F35s are not only a risk, but the US will not honour the fixed-cost contract.
@gideonrachman Absolutely, because they are fearful about US capital flight. It is primarily within the entrepreneur/tech/startup demographic as well as financiers. They're also well known to jump on bandwagons. Little to do with ideology, and more to do with smelling the opportunity.
@WorkMJ The only 'clear and present' danger to Europe is Europe and Brussels. They want to provoke a war, they are willing to continue to kill Ukrainians, and they are now speaking of nuclear weapons. Europe is fueling a direct conflict, no-one else is speaking about going to war w/ EU.
@BrankoMilan That's an insult to Medvedev, and a sincere lack of understanding of his role in being a bit of an 'agent provocateur'. Russia has kept firmly tight-lipped and respectful across 3yrs of disinformation. Medvedev was the only Sr. person who adopted a more Western attitude.
@angeloinchina Absolutely. There is one which is also used in our ‘home’ country: Civilian Ownership. Get civilians to believe they can make a difference and participate in a threat/war effort. Highly effective social mobilization for countries that police themselves
@fwred It’s not being a doomer. This is mid-to-long term fiscal suicide. Look at debt markets, foreign securities etc- and domestically price of capital will increase https://t.co/vxQCcdVPpJ
