Today was the 40th anniversary of Firefighter John "Big John" Williams Line of Duty Death. Every year on this date the family visits the firehouse of Engine 6 & Truck 4 in Shaw to place a wreath at his plaque. He ran his final alarm there. #Neverforget

NEW: Remember last month when @dcfireems was sent to the wrong address, losing 14 minutes at an apartment fire with a mother and child huddled in the bathroom (see attached story)? You know who doesn't remember? DC911/@OUC_DC. Somehow they left it off the monthly required list of call-taker and dispatcher errors even though this was clearly a major mistake (the original 911 call data was correct, but OUC ignored it).

Unlike in April – where OUC claimed they were error free – there is one call-taker error listed for May. OUC admits a call-taker was rude and delayed the call. But once again, OUC left off a half-dozen other mistakes that I notified them about via X . I will follow-up with a full accounting later.

So, @CMBrookePinto, your efforts to get OUC to come clean about its problems clearly aren't working. With OUC continuing to defy your legislation, coverup, deceive, and even lie, how can anyone begin to know the depths of the problems? How does DC911 get fixed? Does the council just throw up its hand and say, "Oh well"? Or is it time to raise hell and put on the pressure? #FixDC911
