Folks, I'm in need of your help.
Would you share with me your favourite poems, verses, pieces of writing etc? I'm a fan of Yates, angelou and others but I'm looking to broaden my horizons for a wellbeing project I have coming up.
I would love any reccomendations. Thankyou 🙏
I'm still not sure why we even separate 'mental' and 'physical' health.. Everything in your body is there for your brain. It's pretty damn important we keep it healthy..
Why don't we start talking about whole health?
@team_walk2talk@Twitter Completely agree. I am a physical trainer and a mental trainer - the two both require the same self care and attention. They also have a profound impact on one another and you may see the signs when you tune in to it. Train both, look after both and enjoy both. ♥️
“There needs to be a turning point where we can pass the message onto men everywhere that it's okay to talk about mental health. We have to normalise the whole conversation.” - The Duke of Cambridge
Such an important conversation about #MentalHealth on tonight's #ARoyalTeamTalk
Fun fact, @Twitter..
Every single person on twitter has a head. And inside that head is a mind. And that mind experiences mental health. Nobody is exempt.
We have mental health... So why be afraid to talk about it? #headstogether#walktotalk
"When you're in a dressing room environment as a man, it's almost forbidden to cry." - @ThierryHenry
Who's watching this important conversation on mental health with The Duke of Cambridge right now on @BBCOne? #ARoyalTeamTalk
Resilience isn't about being too proud to ask. It's about being self aware, embracing vulnerability and reaching out early. Whilst you're powering through busy lives, make sure you get to the fuel station when the fuel light comes on, not whe you're empty. https://t.co/8i2Fya3sxo
@team_walk2talk@BristolUni I totally agree that blame and vilification of services will not help those at risk of suicide in the long term. Yes, lessons need to be learned, but we are at risk of increasing defensive practice, which has been shown as ultimately harmful, and recognised by recent Govt review
In light of recent conversation surrounding the suicide of @BristolUni student Natasha Abrahart, it is all too easy to get caught up in the debate and blame game. With such huge systemic failure, we cannot lay the burden on an individual person or organisation.
We must instead come together and allow tragedy to spark positive conversation and community. This is the way forward. You can see our work in #Bristol in the video below. https://t.co/tiaDrTfh9y
Thank you to everyone who tuned in to watch #anxietyandme this evening. I have been nervous all day. But I am so overwhelmed with the response. This has been difficult in so many ways, but I have told myself and… https://t.co/0V7S9FCxRD
