@moababiker10@antonioguterres@BobRae48 I thought I heard it all. In this documentary link👇🏽, the Eritrean gov. would sell kerosene to inmates so they may burn themselves alive. I've heard many interviews of prisoners saying they envied the deceased because they could finally rest. @UN 🧵3️⃣

The suffering didn’t end when the fighting stopped — it continues in the silence. The human cost is real, ongoing, and deliberately obscured. Yet many fear the #Isaias dictatorship is positioning itself for another confrontation. #XIMDO#EBRF#EndHGDEF#BlueRevolutionEritrea
@martinplaut@moababiker10 We demand #Eritrean dictator & regime officials pay for their crimes with swift justice & ZERO delays for accountability as our people have endured decades of endless pain & trauma! But
instead @UN is appointing regime's delegate @Eritrea_UN for VP?! MAKE IT MAKE SENSE?! 🤬 🧵2️⃣
@martinplaut@moababiker10 🙏🏽 Mr. Special Rapporteur for your extensive report on this mandate on Eritrea. So now that Crimes Against Humanity, #TransnationalRepression, & gender base sexual violence are
confirmed in #Eritrea with 0️⃣ efforts of any improvmemts made by 🇪🇷 authoraties. 🧵1️⃣
Eritrea: A Nation Silenced - 30 Years on
Eritrea’s Press Proclamation No. 90/1996 was enacted on June 10, 1996, to provide a legal and regulatory framework for the country's media. Despite initially paving the way for a brief period of independent journalism, the📷#PFDJ regime permanently banned all private media outlets and imprisoned prominent journalists in 2001, making the proclamation largely inactive in practice.
In an extended, in-depth interview I spoke with former detainee writer Tsegay Mehari who shares a direct and unprecedented testimony of his experiences whilst held incommunicado for several years in #Eritrea.
As June 20 approaches, Eritrean Martyrs’ Day is a time of deep sorrow & remembrance for countless #Eritrean families who sacrificed their loved ones for freedom & justice. Sadly, for the brutal dictator & his useful idiots, this solemn day has become a propaganda tool rather than a moment of reflection and accountability. The best way to honor our martyrs is not through empty speeches & crocodile tears, but by standing for truth, justice & dignity of the Eritrean people. #FreeEritrea #NoMorePFDJTerror #BlueRevolution @Weldetnsae2@SeedHulum2@PressTeddy@CmaDawit@BereketKahsai1@EGerasouli35992@BlueFront90547
UN Special Rapporteur highlights Eritrean Government’s Transnational Repression and abuse of Religious communities in Annual Human Rights Report. Also ongoing sexual abuse during National Service 1/2

Isaias is so stupid, he ruled Eritrea for 35 years with no elections and still calls it 'democracy' Even North Korea is embarrassed. #EBRF#BlueRevolution#FreeEritrea "
How can a government that has never held a national election be elected to prestigious @UN positions? #Eritrea|ns have waited more than three decades for the right to choose their own leaders. @HumanRights@UN_HRC#TransnationalRepression
Spot on! Yes" he could but refusing to implement the 1997 constitution is not just a political choice; it is a deliberate strategy to ensure absolute control by preventing the institutionalization of the state. By systematically dismantling the rule of law and banning political pluralism, he has ensured that Eritrea’s governance relies entirely on his personal whims rather than stable institutions.
The tragic reality is that his legacy will not only be decades of stagnation, but a dangerous institutional vacuum that he leaves the Eritrean people to navigate in a highly pragmatic time bomb and unpredictable future without any constitutional rule of law.
Therefore, the international community should openly act and support the young #BlueRevolution #EBRF in the fight for regime change, not only for the Eritrean people, but for the future stability of the entire Horn of Africa and the security of the Red Sea Corridor.

@FissehaYirgalem words cut through the silence of tyranny:
“I love poetry, but I am not a poet
poets fascinate me
But I never said, ‘I am a poet’…
I cannot accept an honor that I cannot uphold
I do not simply want to be but to act.”
From beloved poet to prisoner of conscience, this is the price of truth under the brutal Isaias Afwerki dictatorship. Six years in Mai Serwa prison for daring to speak. Indefinite national slavery. Disappearances. Torture.
The #PFDJ regime fears the pen more than the sword because words awaken the Eritrean people. No more! The walls of fear are crumbling.
#EBRF stand with Yirgalem and every voice demanding: #End the dictatorship. Dismantle the system of modern slavery. #NoMorePFDJTerror #BlueRevolution @KjetilTronvoll@martinplaut@washingtonpost@TheEconomist@dwnews@pressfreedom@DefendDefenders@OsloFF@freedomhouse@PEN_Ertra
