Today we are moving forward to improve abortion access in the province. Changes to Regulation 84-20 have been approved that will allow medicare to cover the cost of surgical abortions performed outside of hospitals.
These changes align New Brunswick with most other provinces in covering the cost, whether an abortion is performed in a hospital or a clinic.

here's someone who's taken as much grief from as many sides as anybody and just won again because she's ideologically consistent and her voters know exactly who she is
Soooooo PEI is giving the population 12 days (incl a weekend) to review and provide feedback of a brand new Employment Standards Act...47 pages!
This is not a proper consultation esp when it comes to an important legal document that affects all workers. Shame!

The province is seeking public feedback on the proposed replacement of the Employment Standards Act. After a two-year review, a new draft has been created. Share your thoughts by November 1, 2024 https://t.co/WxHVluufHz
I'll be celebrating big time when part of Reg 84-20 is repealed to allow medicare covered abortions outside hospital settings.
Should have been done years ago but here we are.
Abortion is health care. Abortions save lives.

It feels lighter this morning. ✨
This is not to say that our work is done. We must hold the Liberals accountable for their election commitments.
But PCs are out, Higgs lost his seat, other key Ministers lost their seats & it feels lighter this morning.

@JennaLynAlbert -increase social assistance rates immediately
-repeal Bill 23 and Bill 17 (anti-union/scab leg)
-fair wage proposals to CUPE Locals in bargaining
-permanent rent cap
additional:
-increase min wage to living wage
-10 employer paid sick days
Also! Susan Holt speaks French. Francophones and Acadians were apparently asking too much of the previous Premier who shall not be named.
