Azeez Al-Shaair on Keylan Rutledge & Texans OL mentality:
“The mentality. I was talking to Rut about this. The best OLmen I know are like gnats. Get off the block & by the end of the play you just feel somebody breathing on you like ‘man get the hell away from me.’ That’s how it’s been for him specifically [Rutledge]. There’s times where I’m over there thinking about punching him cuz he just right there, on you. And I love that. The best players at that position just won’t stop. It’s hard to coach somebody to be physical. He has the right mindset. Obviously the guys we brought in as well, Wyatt, Braden, just like I said guys like ‘damn this dude won’t leave me alone.’ The pests.”
This year is the Texans first OL built fully by Nick Caserio & Demeco Ryans without players pre Caserio times.

Texans LG Wyatt Teller on his last 2 years in Cleveland via @LandryLocker & @Cody_Stoots:
- He felt like he got somewhat complacent in Cleveland and the change “re-fired him up.”
- Felt like the offensive line was overly blamed for issues on the offense but helped motivate him this offseason.
- Credited Mike Eubanks for helping him lose body fat & put on weight.
#Texans offensive line a mix of returning and new with rookie Keylan Rutledge snapping to C.J. Stroud today. Blake Fisher getting more reps at right tackle with Braden Smith working back to full-go still and Trent Brown not on field today.
New left guard Wyatt Teller helping to mentor returning left tackle Aireontae Ersery.
Texans are glad they were able to retain right guard Ed Ingram on three-year, $37.5 million deal @kp
Will Anderson, Jr. on the offense pre-snap:
He points to C.J. Stroud and Wyatt Teller really bringing the energy and urgency to get everyone in line, where they need to be before the snap.
Will Anderson Jr. says C.J. Stroud has taken the step of the leader pre-snap getting players lined up and getting the offense set.
He said Wyatt Teller is a player he “loves” & has helped the offense line get prepared.
He also mentioned Foster Moreau & Dalton Schultz as players who have made an impact.
#Texans current offensive line is a mix of returning players, left tackle Aireontae Ersery, center Jake Andrews, right guard Ed Ingram, swing tackle Trent Brown and newcomer left guard Wyatt Teller and right tackle Braden Smith along with rookies Keylan Rutledge and Febechi Nwaiwu, Evan Brown

C.J. Stroud handing off to David Montgomery with Houston simulating first team offense:
Hard to tell which players are part of the actual OL group but definitely see Ersery, Ingram, Teller, Andrews, Brown in the mix.
