Tip for men.

Instead of asking, "Where should we go?" after you've already asked her on a date...

Ask: "Are you free for dinner after 6 p.m. on Friday or Saturday?"

Do not ask her to pick the place. Instead, name 2–3 restaurant options: "I have three spots in mind..." (vary the types of food each spot serves), then ask: "Do you have a preference?"

If she is unsure, confidently pick one: "Let's go with the second spot. It has a great atmosphere, amazing food, and I think you'll love it."

End with: "Great! I'm looking forward to it. I'll call/text you tomorrow evening before 8 p.m. to go over transportation and finalize the details. Have a great day/night."

One last thing, brother. The bill is on you. She didn't ask you on a date; you asked her. Don't expect her to pay for anything. Finish what you started.

HAVE YOU COMMANDED YOUR MORNING?

— Job 38:12

> “Have you commanded the morning since your days began, and caused the dawn to know its place?”
— Book of Job 38:12

Many people wake up every morning and simply flow with whatever the day brings.

They wake up worried.
They wake up anxious.
They wake up already defeated in their minds.
They allow fear, bad news, pressure, and negative thoughts to control the atmosphere of their day before they even pray.

But in this scripture, God asked Job a very deep question:

“Have you commanded the morning?”

This means there is a spiritual responsibility connected to how you begin your day.

Morning hours are not ordinary hours.
The morning is a gate.
The morning is a foundation.
The morning sets the tone for the rest of the day.

That is why many believers pray early.

Because before the phone calls begin…
Before social media distractions come…
Before the battles of the day appear…
A child of God should first align his spirit with Heaven.

Some people wake up and immediately check messages.
Some wake up and immediately enter anxiety.
Some wake up and immediately begin complaining.

But there are people who wake up and begin to speak life.

“Lord, guide me today.”
“Father, order my steps.”
“No weapon formed against me shall prosper.”
“The favor of God shall go before me.”
“My family is preserved.”
“I shall not walk into evil.”
“The peace of God shall rule over my mind.”

This is what it means spiritually to command your morning.

You are refusing to allow darkness to dictate your day.

You are refusing confusion access into your atmosphere.

You are partnering with God before stepping into the battles of life.

The enemy understands the power of spiritual atmosphere.

That is why many attacks come early in the morning through fear, negative thoughts, discouragement, lust, depression, anger, distraction, and heaviness.

The enemy wants your day to begin empty spiritually.

But prayer changes atmospheres.

A praying believer is not helpless.

When you pray in the morning:

You strengthen your spirit.

You align your heart with God.

You receive direction.

You silence fear.

You release peace over your day.

You invite the presence of God into everything you do.

Even Jesus prayed early in the morning.

Before major assignments…
Before ministry…
Before crowds…
Before decisions…

He separated Himself to pray.

If Jesus needed prayer, how much more us?

Some battles are won before the day even starts.

There are mornings where you may feel weak.
There are mornings where you may feel tired.
There are mornings where nothing seems to make sense.

Pray anyway.

Even if your prayer is simple:

“Lord, carry me today.”
“Father, strengthen me today.”
“Let my steps be ordered by You.”
“Protect me from evil.”
“Give me wisdom.”
“Let my life bring glory to You.”

Never underestimate morning prayer.

Darkness fears light.

And when a believer rises with prayer, worship, and the Word of God, spiritual light begins to shine upon their path.

Your morning matters.

Do not begin your day disconnected from God.

Command your morning with prayer.
Command your morning with scripture.
Command your morning with worship.
Command your morning with thanksgiving.

And may God go before you in everything you do. 🙏
