The fact that Sam and Dario are openly talking about customers discovering how expensive tokens really are is not borne out of some love for telling the truth.

They can’t afford to subsidize anymore and word is going to come out anyway so they’re front running it.

First is big, their economics and funding is so bad that they just can’t subsidize it anymore bc their ideal scenario was they keep the subsidy up and take everyone into the IPO in the market’s current trance where AI is just going to blow through the economy like hurricane Rita.

They’re not able to do it till October when IPO comes out. Hard times indeed.

Second, they’re front running so they can control the narrative and tell you that new technology improvements will soon lower the cost. They dangled the carrot with mythos, which is fiction and now they will dangle some version to get to the IPO with promise intact.
