Again ask yourself why you only want one of the ten not to be in effect. The only one that calls us to surrender and let God be the God of our time instead of ourselves.

@John_R_Fraser @Gaba70707 @royallebach Show me the verse that says Christ IS the Sabbath. That’s man-made doctrine. He is the Lord of the Sabbath— not THE Sabbath itself. If that was the case then idolatry wouldn’t be sin because Christ is “all in all” and He is the object of all worship known and unknown.

He’s the One that sanctifies me. I will gladly surrender that day to Him bc He gave it to us, &trust Him to complete in me a work I can’t do myself.

And rev 14:12 says at the end: “here are they which keep the commandments of God AND the faith of Jesus.”

@thechosentv It shouldn’t make it “less painful.” It should make it MORE painful knowing that He did it for my sin. And every single one of us who continue to live in known opposition to His Word. It should lead to repentance and willful obedience.

@royallebach @Gaba70707 How about “and they rested in the Sabbath according to the commandment” Luke 23:56? That was after Christ’s death on the cross. Just because believers met on a Sunday once in acts doesn’t mean it was somehow sanctified in place of the Sabbath that God made holy forever.
