Data from seasons 4 and 6 are now in the public domain - see "Data From: TERRA-REF, An open reference data set from high resolution genomics, phenomics, and imaging sensors" https://t.co/zSXiRW1vSK 1/n #opendata#agdata#data
This is the product of many years of work by Zeyu, @rbpless, Austin, @NadiaShakoor, myself, and the late Todd Mockler, focused on leveraging the mind-bogglingly awesome @terra_ref imagery and genomics data to do novel genotype x phenotype discovery in sorghum.
Consider participating in this machine learning challenge organized by @abby621 through a #AG2PI seed grant award: https://t.co/cr05ULJoAa
can you identify the sorghum variety?

Super excited about the Sorghum-100 competition running on Kaggle right now as part of the @fgvcworkshop at #CVPR2022. Props to former student @justin_dulay and current student Maddie Pope for organizing this!
What a crazy day!! I had to leave the @cvppa2021 workshop at the very end to give our department colloquium and missed that two of my and my collaborators papers tied (in a three way tie!) for best paper! Woohoo!!!
TERRA-REFs High Resolution, Multi Sensor Plant Sensing Public Domain Data Offer the Computer Vision Community?" by @dlebauer @abby621 @NoahFahlgren @robkooper @KentonMcHenry and Max Burnette https://t.co/S3XvSFhZl0
best paper @cvppa2021 tied with (3/n)
So excited about this! My group @SLUResearch will be leveraging @terra_ref data to run ML competitions to uncover genotype X phenotype relationships in biomass sorghum (and more generally developing a model for machine learning competitions to glean GXP understanding!)
The confluence of #agtech & #geospatial is happening in #StLouis. Dr. Nadia Shakoor & Dr. Todd Mockler collaborated with @geo_slu and others on the publication, “Data-Driven Artificial Intelligence for Calibration of Hyperspectral Big Data” in @IEEXplore: https://t.co/g3BmQ038WF
The University of Arizona will take part in a $20 million institute that aims to transform agriculture through artificial intelligence. https://t.co/o0OPZHAXGc
Data analysis is often the most challenging part of digital phenotyping! If you are interested in learning available, open-source tools in plant phenomics, join us in our free, online workshop series "Fridays Hands-On" in collaboration with @NAPPN_org
