George Monbiot describes the treatment of #MECFS as “The Greatest Medical Scandal of the 21st century”. Repost of the introduction to my 27-minute explainer video for #MEAwarenessMonth — now optimised for phones.
@IamTheTrashMan@newstart_2024 I agree that our organs have incredible detox abilities, but being chronically sick and disabled will make people want to try almost anything to get better. Genuinely interested... are you experienced in this field of medicine/disease?
Why microdosing GLP1a/GIP agonist (Tirzepatide) helps POTS/MCAS/Long COVID/Functional GI symptoms.

I had an epiphany a few months ago. One of those “why didn’t I realize this sooner” moments.
Once again, its up to the sick patients to help other patients to live. Template letter at the end of article can be sent to [email protected] at NHS.
"So once again, an ME organisation with millions of pounds in funding is refusing to intervene in an urgent severe ME case, claiming it lacks the “resources” to take action. But ultimately this begs the question why it’s not directing its budget towards helping severe ME patients more."
Its all sickening.
🚨The entire #WelfareBill must be dropped
Why do @UKLabour keep making the same mistakes, attacking the most vulnerable in our society. The @GOVUK's latest plans for disabled benefits cuts are divisive and sinister. #TakingThePIP 🧵1⃣⤵️
I’ve spent my life working alongside people whose lives changed in the blink of an eye. When someone suffers — through industrial disease, accidents, illness, or mental health challenges — they deserve support.
Their right to dignity shouldn’t depend on the date on a calendar.
If Labour MPs think the “concessions” given by Ministers on the proposed Welfare Bill make it any better they are frankly not intelligent enough to hold office.

Disability isn’t all wheelchairs and hospital beds. It’s fatigue, joint pain, memory loss, sensory issues—often invisible but still life-changing. These cuts ignore that reality. #TakingThePIP
I am hearing from constituents who are still desperately concerned about the Welfare Bill, and what it will mean not only for their future but for young people as well. I will be voting against this cruel bill - please encourage your local MP to do the same.
1 in 3 of us will become disabled in our lifetime.
Yesterday I saw a friend who was involved in an RTC recently, fracturing his ankle, neck and skull and facing a long recovery.
The safety net needs to be there for all of us.
Wes Streeting says he wants to listen to disabled people re #WelfareReformBill.
So listen to us now: bin the bill, start over and involve sick & disabled people and organisations from the start. Not as an afterthought.

This isn't over.
We need to keep pressure on MPs who signed the reasoned amendment to make sure they follow through and vote against the cuts on Tuesday.
No backing down. These concessions aren't good enough. We must #StopTheCuts.
Keep emailing your MPs!

@griffitha These reforms won’t drive work—they’ll punish and push disabled people into crisis.
PIP is not an out-of-work benefit, the argument for these proposals make no logical sense.
@griffitha These people need PIP to pay for the extra costs that having a disability incur.
