Fascinating! Tezos has performed their full on-chain governance process: https://t.co/9Aw39FNXbX Also—the article mentions—they are working on implementing Zcash Sapling! Also it mentions that turn-out for on-chain governance in other systems is typically 5–7% of eligible coins.
Tezos officially upgraded off a diff, accepted by community bakers, proposed by a company (though this could have been anyone) and they were awarded 100 XTZ for their hard work - which was specified in the code! Tried and tested, let the games begin!
The @tezos + @reasonml is an interesting and emerging stack, kudos to @maht0rz for driving this forward. I'm particularly curious about the prospect of building both front-end and back-end (i.e. smart-contract) in Reason.
"For the first time core protocol developers will be rewarded by the protocol itself through an on-chain upgrade bounty. This is just the beginning of what we view as an important trend toward protocol developers earning compensation directly from the protocols they architect."
Still delegating my $XTZ - will sell some between 8-10 USD.
The rest will stake till it goes above 100B mcap, which can take a couple of years.

The Coinbase-Neutrino story keeps getting scarier. Apparently, user data has already been leaked and Coinbase never disclosed it to the public. That is insane
As an aside, the sentence "Tezos is moving away" implies some sort of concerted decision. That's certainly applicable for protocol votes, which do mark an evolution in the project, but it makes little sense when applied to peripheral tooling which is, by nature, permissionless.

First of, it's not clear what one means by "FV *in* base layer protocol". Formal verification isn't a feature, it's a process. When people talk about formal verification in this space they generally don't mean that the protocol is going to somehow perform that process
@creiddouthat@tezos We're huge fans of this project and have really enjoyed watching the growth over the past six+ months. We like to post metrics that are standouts and will definitely post updates on @tezos soon. Here's Twitter activity over the past week which is fairly flat. #thatwillchange
